The first annual Ernie Ball Aftershock Battle Of The Bands will be held from August 12-September 6, 2013. Bands can enter the competition–and fans can vote for their favorite band–at www.battleofthebands.com.
The grand prize winner of this unsigned band competition will have the opportunity to perform on the Ernie Ball Stage on Sunday, September 15 at Monster Energy’s Aftershock Festival–Northern California’s biggest summer rock festival–held September 14 and 15 at Discovery Park near downtown Sacramento, CA.
The top 100 “Buzz Rated” bands that sign up for the Ernie Ball Aftershock Battle Of The Bands will be eligible to win. A panel of judges will choose the winner of this global search for the best undiscovered rock band. The winning band will be announced on Monday, September 9, 2013.
Ernie Ball will provide the winning band with an all-expense paid trip to the festival in Sacramento, CA and an Ernie Ball Music Man endorsement.
To enter the Monster Energy’s Aftershock Festival Ernie Ball Battle Of The Bands, bands must complete a short informational profile and upload at least one MP3 to the Battle Of The Bands website (www.battleofthebands.com). Entrants should use the Band Promotional Toolkit provided in their profile after logging in to promote their entry on the web and drive fans to vote.
“Buzz Rating” is a proprietary system developed by Ernie Ball that gives a real time snap shot of each band’s overall exposure level. The system takes into account both viral reach and real world factors that produce a 1-100 rating system giving an accurate reading on each band’s relevance within the industry. “Buzz Rating” also calculates fan votes as an overall percentage of each band’s rating. In order to boost “Buzz Rating,” bands should be sure their profile is complete with a valid link to their public Facebook profile.
