ARW – Anderson, Rabin and Wakeman, The Grove of Anaheim, Anaheim, CA., December 2, 2016
ARW – Anderson, Rabin and Wakeman have put together a dream show for Yes fans. Encompassing the best of both the 70’s and 80’s phases of the band’s catalogue, this is one for the history books.
Augmented by backing vocals from bassist Lee Pomeroy and drummer Lou Molino III, Jon Anderson and Trevor Rabin’s vocals have never sounded better. Rick Wakeman put on a show with his signature cape and his hands deftly gliding around a dozen keyboards. It was simply watching a master at his craft. Rabin’s guitar work is stellar on his body of work with Yes. He did plenty to bolster and enhance the material in the catalog that preceded him as well.
The crowd was on its feet after practically every song, as the set list included as many fan favorites as could be played in about 2 hours and 15 minutes. From Cinema to Roundabout, it was a journey through space, time, and rock and roll that no music fan should miss.
