Stories Of Survival by Authority Zero (Suburban Noize / Viking Funeral Records)
Stories of Survival, Authority Zero’s 4th overall album, is on Suburban Noize Records which belongs to Fletcher Dragge of Pennywise and Ken Seaton of Hardline Entertainment. Authority Zero is the first band on the new label imprint Viking Funeral.
Think of awesome punk rock from the suburbs of Southern California, then mix in some reggae and ska and you have Mesa, AZ’s own Authority Zero. Frontman Jason Devore shows that he has the range for many styles. The entire band remains in top form.
Three songs on the album that stand out are Get It Right, No Way Home, and Big Bad World. Get It Right would be the radio pick. Big Bad World is a reggae rock song about hardships of working in a bad economy. But don’t forget but to make sure you go to the end of the CD where you going to find the gem song No Way Home.
Other notable tracks also include: Brick in the Wave, Get It Right, Liberate Education and Movement.
