The lineup looks nuts!  Tons of great bands are on this festival so I’m hoping I can catch a few bands.  We get to see a bunch of our friends on the touring circuit.

What could one expect from your live show at Blaze ‘N’ Glory 2015?
Energy! Music! Fun! Blazing glory!

What is the name of your latest or upcoming CD or EP and what inspired the title?
Our forthcoming record is dropping at the end of june 2015 its called Meanwhile… Back At The Lab.

Select two songs you may be playing in your set and what inspired the lyrics.
Closer To The Sun is a song about life and love. One of my favorites. Collie Man, is about trying to find the herb.

Any strange or unusual happenings in the past while out on the road?
Everyday is strange and unusual when you wake up and have no idea where you are and what’s around.  Touring is crazy and something weird happens everyday.  Too many to list honestly.

If you could open up for any band, either now or from the past, who would it be and why?
I would love to play with any of the greats that are deceased. including Bob Marley, Jerry Garcia, John Lennon, Kurt Cobain. and many more…

Do you have any messages for Blaze ‘N’ Glory 2015 attendees this year?

Rebelution

2965Introduce yourself, what you do in the band, and where you are based out of?
My name is Wesley Finley and I play drums for Rebelution. We formed the band in Santa Barbara but are now spread throughout California.

What are you looking forward to the most about Blaze ‘N’ Glory 2015?
I’m looking forward to seeing all the other bands on the bill that I’ve toured with over the years, both onstage and off. It will feel like a big family reunion for us.

What could one expect from your live show at Blaze ‘N’ Glory 2015?
For the most part we like to keep things uptempo so the people can dance but it’s good to have some slow moments for peace and reflection. Either way there will be a good transfer of energy from us to the crowd and hopefully that’s reciprocated.

What is the name of your latest or upcoming CD or EP and what inspired the title?
We’ve only just begun writing for the next album so it’s far too soon to tell.

Select two songs you may be playing in your set and what inspired the lyrics.
De-Stress: The lyric “too blessed to be stressed” says it all. Being happy with what you have, having conviction and confidence in yourself.
Roots Reggae Music: Taking it back to where the sound came from, back to the basics. It’s like trying to describe how music makes you feel, which is difficult. Having appreciation for the genre that opened doors for ourselves and others.

Any strange or unusual happenings in the past while out on the road?
On one of our first tours we were hit with a brutal winter. We were trying to get out of some narrow streets in Philly and our bus was pretty wide so we all got out and pushed over parked cars on the ice to make way for our bus to get out. I felt like I had superhuman strength

If you could open up for any band, either now or from the past, who would it be and why?
It goes without saying that opening up for Bob Marley would be the greatest honor for us were he still alive. He put this genre on the map, and you could even say this festival and the bands playing it wouldn’t likely be around were it not for the popularity of his music and message.

Thanks for having us! We’re glad to be here at a festival surrounded by family and friends. Be peaceful, don’t be a Gloryhole!
