The Brodeo Tour with Scarlett O’Hara, No Bragging Rights, Hundredth, Letlive, and Lions! Tigers! Bears!

THE BRODEO TOUR is COMING!!!

The Brodeo Tour is set to make its way across the country, and will be the first headlining tour for Scarlett O’Hara with No Bragging Rights in the co-headlining position.

Other bands slated to make appearances on all or part of the tour include Hundredth, LetLive, and Lions! Tigers!  Bears!

All bands have made lasting impressions on their own, and together they should present a memorable show with plenty of breakdowns, hardcore dancing, and good times for all.

Highwire Daze decided to check in with each of the bands to find out more about their expectations on the upcoming tour, present and future recordings, life on the big bad road, what the term “Brodeo” means to them, and other topics of interest.

Read on and be sure to support the Brodeo Tour when it shows up in your town…

SCARLETT O’HARA

Introduce yourself, and tell me what you do in Scarlett O’Hara, and what does the term Brodeo mean to you?
I’m Andrew and I play bass in Scarlett O’Hara. Brodeo to me means being with all your bros or guys and just chillin with no chicks involved.

What do you look forward to the most about the upcoming Brodeo Tour?
Meeting all our friends in the states again and making new ones. Playing for all our fans.

What could one expect from a live Scarlett O’Hara show?
Jumping, Stage diving, Circle pits and Hardcore dancing

Do you have any unusual or horror stories from touring that you could share?
Well on our last tour with A Skylit Drive , Motionless In White bought dildos and tease everyone on tour and that shows. It was pretty hilarious not gonna lie haha

Is there any story or concept behind your CD title Lost In Existence?
Basically all of our songs are about break-ups, ex-girlfriends and chicks. Eddie and Rene do the write and they reflect alot on relationships

What do you think of the movie Gone With The Wind? Not too much of a bro film…
I wasn’t a fan of the movie to be honest. I just couldn’t get into it

How did the Average Guys With Exceptional Hair tour go and what were some of the highlights?
The Average Guys With Exceptional Hair tour was amazing. One of best tours so far. A high for me was that I would got to bass for A Skylit Drive for one of there songs well Brian, the bassist, did his screaming vocals.

Do you have any messages for fans out here in the Southern California area?
Be ready cause we are coming back and its gonna get rowdy. This is our FIRST headlining tour and we want Southern California to show us a good time.

NO BRAGGING RIGHTS

Introduce yourself, and tell me what you do in No Bragging Rights, and what does the term “Brodeo” mean to you?
I’m Handsome Rick, the Bassist of No Bragging Rights. What does the term “Brodeo” mean to me? A question that’s haunted the ages. Scholars maintain that the translation was lost thousands of years ago. Nobody really knows for sure what it means, but if I had to guess, I’d say Kanye West had something to do with it.

What do you look forward to the most about the upcoming Brodeo Tour?
We’re getting to a point where we’re starting to tour with bands that we’ve looked up to and listen to while we’re on tour. We’re looking forward to sharing the stage with awesome talent each night and making friends with these bands that we’re fans of.

What could one expect from a live No Bragging Rights show?
We hate to say the same thing everyone else does here. Lets see … We’re a Punk / Hardcore influenced band with catchy sing a long choruses. If you like Stick To Your Guns, Comeback Kid, For Today, or A Day To Remember, you’ll love us. We pour our souls into our live show. We’re energetic, and have been told we come across heavier live.

Do you have any unusual or horror stories from touring that you could share?
Unusual things happen everyday of tour. Its hard to pinpoint one story when you’ve been touring for over 3 years. We’ve been surprisingly lucky. We’ve dealt with every situation, we’ve played sold out shows on the opposite side of the country, we’ve played shows where nobody showed up. We went to a promoters house in Canada at 4 in the morning and took his cell phone and Drivers License because he screwed us out of $400. We’ve seen people get knocked out at our shows, midgets jumping over fire, pumpkins thrown off roofs, and cops that come to shut down a show and end up playing our drum kit. And thats just the tip of the iceberg.

Is there any story or concept behind your CD title Illuminator?
In a time when the entire music industry has flipped upside down and making a living playing music in an over saturated scene is unheard of anymore, there has to be someone to lead the way. To carry the torch and light the way for others in dark times. To be an ILLUMINATOR. The album speaks of the current state of the industry, labels that destroy the very bands that make them, gimmick bands that rob the passion and talent from real musicians, and the heroes that stand among them all.

Do you think you might be going across the country on Warped Tour this year? What has that experience been like in the past?
If we could only do 1 tour a year, it would be Warped Tour. We have been fortunate enough to play specific dates the past 2 years, but we’d love nothing more than to play the entire thing. Whether we play 2 dates, or the entire thing this year, we will be there hustling our new album and making new friends across the country. We attribute our entire U.S. following to Warped Tour for providing our target market in abundance.

How did Tour Fast Tour Furious Tour go and what were some of the highlights?
Tour Fast Tour Furious ended too fast and too furious, so I guess the name was suiting. We disappointed a lot of people because the tour ended early. For that, we are extremely sorry. We have never canceled a tour on our behalf, and TFTF was no different. We have toured solid for 3 years and know how to do it. We don’t commit to a tour we cant do financially. I wish I could say the same for the other bands on the tour. On a lighter note, the shows we did play were amazing! It was great to see a lot of new faces as well as people we hadn’t seen in awhile!

HUNDREDTH

Introduce yourself, and tell me what you do in Hundredth, and what does the term Brodeo mean to you?
My name is Chadwick and I do vocals. It honestly means absolutely nothing to us. we were just told that was the tour name and that’s all we really know about it.

What do you look forward to the most about the upcoming Brodeo Tour?
We are hitting some familiar spots so it will be good to see some familiar faces. But also be exposed to a new group of people, as this isn’t our normal type of tour. There are a lot of different types of bands so I think it will be cool.

What could one expect from a live Hundredth show?
Emotion, anger, some stomping around, some singing here and there. Some mosh parts. But mostly music that we want to move people inside rather than physcally. Hopefully people can grasp that we sing about real, authentic things.

Do you have any unusual or horror stories from touring that you could share?
We’ve had an icy trailer flip the middle of nowhere Oregon . It was way below freezing and was not so fun but we still kept our cool and pressed on.

Is there any story or concept behind your CD title When Will We Surrender?
It’s about searching for hope on Earth and coming up short time after time to the point where we know mankind will let us down in the end. And our hope must be in ourselves and something bigger. It’s a battle for surrender.

To you, what has been the best and worst part about touring and being on the road?
We’ve missed a lot of family stuff like holidays. Relationships have dwindled from the distance and busyness of tour, but at the end of the day we are spreading something beleive in and it’s totally worth it.

How has the Shai Hulud tour been going and what have been some of the highlights?
Shai Hulud is collectively one of our favorite heavy bands. My personal favorite. So it’s been an honor and awesome to be able to see them every night and feel the emotion that they put forth live. We’ve definitely had a lot of fun trekking across Canada with them over the past couple of weeks.

Do you have any messages for fans out here in the Southern California area?
Keep your head up and search for authenticity because it’s out there. Don’t settle for what is popular or the status quo. This is not just musical preference but in your life in general. We will see you soon hopefully.

LETLIVE

Introduce yourself, and tell me what you do in Letlive, and what does the term Brodeo mean to you?
My name is Ryan, and I fulfill bass duties. Unfortunately, we can not take credit for the portmanteau. I would imagine the intended meaning has something to do with “brother” (bro) and “rodeo” (deo) – a rodeo of brothers? We haven’t become too close with the other bands just yet, so it’s just as confusing to us – not that we’re particularly opposed to the idea.

What do you look forward to the most about the upcoming Brodeo Tour?
Most of the band generally looks forward to just being on the road. We’re going to be hitting places we’ve been before – seeing familiar faces is always nice.

What could one expect from a live Letlive show?
The venue shutting off the sound system, and us continuing to play.

Do you have any unusual or horror stories from touring that you could share?
Horror stories include showing up to venues that forgot about shows, crashing as a result of letting a friend drive over black ice while we relaxed watching movies in the back, not being able to find any Starbucks within one hundred miles (they’re great for cleaning), etc. Unusual, maybe not so much.

Is there any story or concept behind the Fake History CD title?
The term was structured to represent a series of situations in history which were spoken of and understood to be truth, but that truth and the validity behind these events has been sifted through a filter that made it entirely distorted and sterile. Almost as if there’s an entire alternate route of history that occurred. This is concerning issues with religion, politics, social concepts, societies, etc. Jason (our singer) touches upon a lot of the discrepancies within said areas, and brings to light societal issues and outcomes that are still reverberating today – situations that occurred decades or centuries before, and doctrines that are practiced based on precisely those faulty situations. The things you see everyday, but never think twice about.

How did the European tour with Your Demise and Stick To Your Guns come about and will this be your first time over there?
We were actually introduced to Your Demise via our friends The Ghost Inside. Once they found out about the multi-cultural and racial diversity within the band, it was locked in. Brits love culture. They still can’t tell if Jason is persian or puerto rican, or if Anthony is asian or hispanic, though.

Do you have any messages for fans out here in the Southern California area?
Enjoy your weather. We are freezing our asses off.

LIONS! TIGERS! BEARS!

Introduce yourself, and tell me what you do in Lions! Tigers! Bears!, and what does the term Brodeo mean to you?
Hi, I’m Josh and I am the lead vocalist for L!T!B!. Honestly brodeo reminds me of those rodeo cheeseburgers from Burger King. I don’t think it means anything to us really haha.

What do you look forward to the most about the upcoming Brodeo Tour?
I think we are all looking forward to playing in front of new people and meeting as many of our fans as possible!

What could one expect from a live Lions!Tigers!Bears! show?
Lots of energy! We like the crowd to feed it right back to us. If you are coming out be sure to prepare to have some fun while we play!

Do you have any unusual or horror stories from touring that you could share?
Well the most recent would have to be our Chipotle burrito food fight inside our van. Long story short I left the battle with sour cream and guacamole all in my hair. I didn’t shower for 2 days after that and I could constantly smell burritos.

To you, what has been the best and worst part about touring and being onthe road?
The best would have to be seeing so many new places and making connections with our fans who have been waiting to see us. The worst would have to be the smell that comes out of our van after shows. It’s not very smart to put 7 sweaty guys in a van.

Tell me about your new single Seahorse Seahell and what inspired the lyrics?
Well it is the heaviest song on our album. Dorian doesn’t sing a note on the song we just wanted it really explosive and fast. The lyrics were inspired by the movie Interview With A Vampire. I grew up loving vampire movies and books and I took a look at Twilight and got really disgusted. I wanted to bring back the evil blood thirsty vampire story not the cliche sparkeling lame love story.

How close is your debut for Tragic Hero to coming out and is thereworking title for it yet?
We should be announcing the release date with in this month. It will be out early next year! We have been throwing some ideas around for the title, nothing is official yet.

Do you have any messages for fans out here in the Southern California area?
Please keep supporting us! Everyone has been so amazing to us so far. Keep coming to our local shows because those are our favorite to play.
