BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME and JOB FOR A COWBOY confirm appearances on the Summer Slaughter tour!

BTBAM and JFAC team up for shows pre- and post-tour

Agoura Hills, CA – April 27th, 2012 – Label-mates Between the Buried and Me (BTBAM) and Job for a Cowboy (JFAC) have confirmed that they will be a part of the 2012 Summer Slaughter Tour alongside fellow Metal Blade Records artists Cannibal Corpse, Goatwhore, and more. The full lineup is listed below. In addition to Summer Slaughter, BTBAM and JFAC will team up with Periphery for a handful of dates prior to the tour, as well as after the tour concludes. Dates confirmed include: July 16th in Sauget, IL and July 18th in Farmington, NM. The complete tour routing is listed below.

Between the Buried and Me is currently preparing to record their next full-length record, which will serve as the follow up to their Metal Blade debut, The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues. The guys are returning to producer Jamie King to record, with art, track listing, and other details still to be revealed. The first installment of The Parallax served to advance the band’s status as one of the premiere progressive acts on the globe and Revolver Magazine claimed “Between the Buried and Me are on a level of songwriting skill that few bands can hope to reach, and their new EP epitomizes the band’s talent.” Metal Sucks lauds BTBAM as “one of the best and most influential prog metal bands on the planet.” The Parallax 2 is tentatively scheduled for release in the second half of 2012.

Job for a Cowboy’s Demonocracy was just released on April 10th, 2012. The album is being heralded as the best of their career. The intricate, Jason Suecof-produced offering tackles various political and economic themes and continues to crush the masses nationally. In a recent review Ultimate-Guitar noted of the record: “The album plays like a constant assault, and while never backing off it still manages to add enough structure for individual songs to become memorable,” adding that, “the soloing is surprisingly catchy and well-executed while still managing to sit well in the context of the songs.” Alternative Press calls Demonocracy “an ass-kicking, skull-cracking record…”Demonocracy is the band’s first full-length effort with the reinvigorated line-up including bassist Nick Schendzielos and guitarist Tony Sannicandro.
