New Chelsea Grin EP Coming This Summer

European Tour Confirmed This Winter with Asking Alexandria

(New York, NY) – Van’s Warped Tour today unveiled metal band Chelsea Grin as one of the first five acts confirmed for next year’s touring festival. Chelsea Grin will perform the entire nationwide run, from June 16th through August 20th. Other bands announced for the tour include Bayside, Sleeping With Sirens, Memphis May Fire, and The Silver Comet. Chelsea Grin will have a new EP available this summer that will be available at all 2012 Vans Warped Tour dates. Tickets are available HERE for the Van’s Warped Tour.

Chelsea Grin will be heading out on tour this winter with Asking Alexandria and Bless The Fall on a two month trek around Europe, hitting venues from the UK to Italy. They are currently out as direct support to Winds Of Plague on the nationwide Thrash & Burn tour (full tour dates below).

Chelsea Grin’s latest album, My Damnation (Artery Recordings / Razor & Tie), debuted at #64 on the Billboard Top Album Charts and has sold 18,800 records since its July 19th release. Produced by Zeuss (The Acacia Strain, Hatebreed, The Red Chord), My Damnation is a more direct and diverse assault featuring Chelsea Grin’s signature guttural vocals, whiplash-inducing breakdowns, and Middle Eastern-flavored melodies.

Chelsea Grin has received numerous accolades from fans and press alike including a coveted Alternative Press “AP Recommends” column and a #2 spot in the September 2010 AP Readers Chart, and Revolver named them a “Band To Watch” in the September/October 2011 issue of the magazine. My Damnation received rave reviews:

“True headbangers will revel in the squeals and the musical battery that the band inflicts.” – Outburn

“My Damnation is an insane and brutal ride that is perfect for those days where you need to just let loose.” – AMP

“Smashing together the macabre intensity of death metal with the chugging, technical gymnastics of metalcore, Utah’s Chelsea Grin brutalize listeners with their punishing sophomore effort, My Damnation.” – AllMusic

“My Damnation raises the bar by virtue of exploring elements of doom, death, and black metal.” – Consequence Of Sound

The band toured throughout 2010-2011—highlights have been jaunts with Whitechapel, For Today, 2010’s Thrash & Burn tour, and the 2011 Bamboozle Festival. The band released their first full length album, Desolation Of Eden, as the debut band on the newly formed Artery Recordings label in February 2010. Artery Recordings is the label home to The Artery Foundation and an imprint of independent label Razor & Tie, whose roster now includes Chelsea Grin, Vanna, Attila, I Declare War, A Bullet For Pretty Boy, Close To Home, The Crimson Armada and Casino Madrid. A management company since 2004, The Artery Foundation has a knack for finding diamonds in the rough and nurturing them into worldwide prominence. Some of their recent artists flooding the Billboard charts have included Top 40 releases with The Devil Wears Prada and Attack Attack!, Top 100 releases with Alesana and Breathe Carolina and additional artists such as Asking Alexandria, Jonny Craig and Dance Gavin Dance.
