Hordes Of Hate and special guests
Cobalt Cafe

12 Gauge Justice opened this with a strong guitar blistering and soaring us full throttle. 12 Gauge hails from out of Inglewood area. Their brutal is based on survival skills learned from the harshness violent streets in Los Angeles neighborhood. The harsh brutality show in the songs they play. One of their songs Night Riders would make a great conceptual video. The best songs in the set were Cross Faded, L.A.’s Broke, Grave Digger and Ordered To Thrash.
Deviation came up next from Norwalk. Norwalk is quiet and on the edge of Los Angeles leading into Orange County. This band gets enthralled into heaviness with it’s thrashing metal noise that tears at your innards. One of their songs Blinded By Fear would make a great video. But their opening number tonight was Rampage. Rampage is straight hard dark metal thrown at you from all directions. You feel it’s strength that pulls you towards the band. Another great song they did was Spiritual Rights.
If you are into Arch Enemy then up next from Los Angeles was The Cathartic. The lead vocalist might have been sick, but her control and massive range in vocals was amazing. It wouldn’t surprise me if record labels started checking this metal band out. The heavy back beat section is threatening and they have harsh ruff guitars in the total sound, but its lead singer’s vocals seem to stick out the most form this band. Some of the songs they performed were Fatal Lies, Golgitha and Fight As One. They only played about 25 minutes but they are the kind of band you wouldn’t mind listening to a whole album of.
Pigore, which I’m still not sure what the name means, but they sure do know what metal is. Pigore is from Woodland Hills area. The band’s youth keeps them playing quick and harsh. A good producer would have a great time exploring the depth to this band’s sound. They seem to connect with their audience with ease. They are currently working on a newer sounding demo watch for it soon. Some of the songs the band performed tonight were Rotting Raped Corpse, Pigs (which would make a great video), As A Matter Of Fact and Joy Brings Grief. One of the other stand-out songs they did is going to be the name of the up and coming debut CD called And Death Awaits Us All.
Fourcornersofpain came next from San Pedro. San Pedro is in the down low area of Los Angles. Yet by the calming of the waters of the ocean, the brewing of pain is at full speed in San Pedro. The speed of this band is threatening with it’s five members working as a show of strength. They even use some props in their performance. The music though is a three piece but there are two vocalist. One male vocalist and one female vocalist. They both scream harsh lyrics of deathly hallows of pain and suffering most of the time at the same time. They almost come across like an emo-screemo band, but the music is harsh thrash metal to it’s core. They already have a demo available. Some of the best songs they performed were Medicated, Sleep Walker, Brother “D”, Warden Sweet Kiss and Forbidden Love In The Valley Of The Gargoyles. They put on a real metal show.
Headlining tonight was Hordes Of Hate. Hordes Of Hate are from the San Fernando Valley. This dark metal band rips and tortures you with witchery guitar riffs and pounding death from bass and drums. They are currently showcasing songs from their current CD Blasphemic Invocations For Demonic Glory. They are getting ready to embark on a hell raising tour. One great song they performed was Unholy Destruction Of the Abyss. They make dark black metal look fearful and scary. More to come from this band, that’s for sure.
