New York, NY – March 5, 2013 – Fresh on the heels of Australia’s sold out Soundwave Festival where they triumphantly won over thousands of new fans, the Japanese metal quintet- CROSSFAITH featuring Kenta Koie (vocals), Terufumi Tamano (programming), Kazuki Takemura (guitar), Hiroki Ikegawa (Bass) and Tatsuya Amano (drums) now has the United States in their collective sights.
Their upcoming tour, which marks the first time the group will be performing in front of American audiences, will launch in Boston, Massachusetts at the Royale Nightclub on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. Other acts on the tour include Enter Shikari, Architects, and Heartist.
Vocalist Kenta Koie had this to say, “We are so excited to come to the US for the first time. We’ve been to many countries in the past twelve months, but we can’t wait to come to the US and be a part of the huge music scene. The End Records, as part of a joint venture with Sony Music Japan/Search & Destroy Records, will release CROSSFAITH’s forthcoming full-length album (title TBA). The album, which is being recorded and mixed by the legendary Machine (Lamb of God, Every Time I Die, Four Year Strong), is scheduled for a June 2013 release.
To date, in addition to performing at the prestigious Loud Park Festival and the Summer Sonic festival in their native Japan, CROSSFAITH have opened up shows for a diverse set of acts such as Machine Head, Hatebreed, August Burns Red, Pierce The Veil, Parkway Drive, Blessthefall and Alesana. After blowing crowds away on their debut UK tour in support of Of Mice & Men in 2012, the band also took part in the Vans Warped Tour at London’s Alexandra Palace.
Released through The End Records back in November of 2012, the groups EP Zion, also recorded by Machine, features six tracks of breakneck, electro-infused energy and invention. The lead track ‘Monolith’ was a favorite of BBC Radio 1 tastemaker Zane Lowe proclaiming the track as his ‘next hype’. More about CROSSFAITH:
Japan – November 2006. CROSSFAITH are born.
Unique in their home country of Japan, CROSSFAITH combine metal, hardcore, samples and electronica to create groundbreaking music that transcends genres. Their 2009 debut album- The Artificial Theory For The Dramatic Beauty (Zestone Records) served as the catalyst in Japan; distinguishing the group as a true force and propelling them to the top of their game.
2010 saw the phenomenon spread west when The Artificial Theory For The Dramatic Beauty received a European release on Gan-Shin Records and was met with critical acclaim throughout. With an unstoppable work ethic the band hit the studio to record their sophomore release- The Dream, The Space with producer Andrew Wade (A Day To Remember). Released in Japan in April 2011, the band took to the road to promote the album and played to 10,000 fans at Japan’s Summer Sonic festival. This helped garner interest from Tragic Hero Records in the United States, and soon the band were touring outside of Japan for the first time, opening for Parkway Drive across China and Alesana in South Asia.
