Asbury Park, NJ– Rock-reggae outfit Echo Movement has signed onto the Vans Warped Tour 2012. The tour includes 41 shows starting on June 16 in Salt Lake City, UT, and ending on August 5 in Portland, OR, according to vanswarpedtour.com. It spans 28 states and two provinces.
“We couldn’t be happier,” said lead singer Stephen Fowler. “Warped Tour is a musician’s utopia. It’s a nomadic community where we get to do what we do best– play music.”
Echo Movement, a seven-piece, is entering its third year of rigorous touring. The band crossed paths with Warped Tour for short runs in 2009 and 2010 as parts of their own independent tours. The band made two headlining tours in 2011, crossing the Continental US four times.
But this year, the band sees its way onto the entire tour and has been “promoted” to the Skullcandy Stage, sponsored by the headphones giant.
Warped Tour is in its 18th year, making it the longest running tour in US history. It has hosted some of the biggest names in music, including Sublime, No Doubt, Eminem, Kid Rock, Blink-182, Bad Religion and countless others.
