This year’s event is headlined by the glorious return of the mighty xDeathstarx, ready to take your breath away with their thunderously inspirational live performance.

Co-headliners Gideon and War Of Ages have been making quite a name for themselves over the years. and this will be a chance to see both bands absolutely devastate the very same stage!

Also featured in this year’s edition of Facedown Fest 2015 will be performances from My Epic, Saving Grace, Everything In Slow Motion, Those Who Fear, Hope For The Dying, Leaders. and Mouth Of The South.

Introduce yourself, tell me what you do in your band, and how long you’ve been together.
Eric Gregson from xDeathstarx and I play microphone.

What are you looking forward to the most about Facedown Fest 2015?
Looking forward to the xDeathstarx reunion.

What is your favorite Facedown Fest memory or is this your first time playing?
Our first year playing is one of the best shows to date. I am extremely grateful to Jason at Facedown for giving us the opportunity. It was a blast.

What is the name of your latest (or upcoming) album and is there any story or concept behind the title?
Last album we put out was We Are the Threat. It’s about the Holy Spirit, the controversy that it creates in the church and standing up for truth and your friends despite that controversy.

Pick two songs from your latest or upcoming album and tell me what inspired the lyrics?
We are the Threat” was inspired by my longtime friend Tommy Green of Sleeping Giant. Watching his transformation as a follower of Jesus and the sacrifices he made for the sake of growing in deep relationship with God.
Where’s Your Faith Now” addresses the issue that for some believers their focus on end times is greater than their focus on Jesus. The fear of end times or the fear of hell is not the same as the fear of the Lord.

What could one expect from your live performance at Facedown Fest 2015?
Pure Chaos!!

Any strange or interesting stories from the road you could share?
The time when our drummer pooped his pants and was afraid to tell us. So he text his girlfriend and asked her what to do. We smelled it before he could break the bad news. So we pulled over and let him finish his business in the hazard lane while on-coming traffic got a good look at him.

After Facedown Fest, what are your band’s plans for the next couple of months?
Ride this gravy train until the biscuit wheels fall off.

Any messages for your fans out here in the Los Angeles / Orange County area?

Introduce yourself, tell me what you do in your band, and how long you’ve been together.
My name is Shane, I play guitar and sing in the band. EISM has been a thing since 2012.

What are you looking forward to the most about Facedown Fest 2015?
Traveling with my band mates, fellowship with friends and supporters of the band, tacos, breakfast on the beach, and of course… the rock and roll.

What is your favorite Facedown Fest memory or is this your first time playing?
There are too many to pick as a favorite. But one that stands out at the moment is the very first time I played Facedown Fest, which was 2009. My band at the time, Hands, played a song called “Revelation.” The song is like 8 minutes long and we had no idea how it would be received. The crowd politely clapped, but ultimately were ready to shake off their boredom with a solid dose half time and china cymbal. We walked off stage and Dave Quiggle (if you don’t know who Dave is, you should get on that), came up to me with this huge smile and said “Thank you for playing that song, it was incredible.” Not sure why it meant so much to hear him say that, but I’ll never forget it.

What is the name of your latest (or upcoming) album and is there any story or concept behind the title?
Our most recent album is titled “Phoenix.” As far as story or concept, I guess it all depends on how you hear it. Not to get all artsy, but it’s cool to just listen and decide for yourself. To some, “Phoenix” has been the name of the character throughout the album. To others, it’s an album that stands for rising above your struggles in life. It’s always awesome to hear the different interpretations.

Pick two songs from your latest or upcoming album and tell me what inspired the lyrics?
I would first choose the song “Numbers,” as it’s my personal favorite. The lyrics are inspired by doubt I carry in my heart. The second song I would choose, would be “Proxima.” No matter how much I might be unsure about things in life or how much doubt I carry in my heart, God is there and is carefully nudging me in the right direction.

What could one expect from your live performance at Facedown Fest 2015?
Honesty. No fluff, and no gimmicks. Just a few dudes sharing a true story through music.

Any strange or interesting stories from the road you could share?
I once got on stage in front a few hundred people at one of those crazy, awkward, Christian festival dance parties (why do they have these things??)… and performed a few horrible dance moves taken from the movie Heavy Weights.

After Facedown Fest, what are your band’s plans for the next couple of months?
Writing and recording a new album!

Any messages for your fans out here in the Los Angeles / Orange County area?
Can’t wait to see you all! So excited to get out there!

Introduce yourself, tell me what you do in your band, and how long you’ve been together.
Josh Ditto. I sing/scream/play keys in Hope for the Dying. We’ve been together since 2005.

What are you looking forward to the most about Facedown Fest 2015?
I’m personally looking forward to just seeing everyone from the label and the other bands for some sweet hangs. Also REALLY stoked to be returning to the Glass House this year.

What is your favorite Facedown Fest memory or is this your first time playing?
I believe this is our 4th or 5th Facedown fest. And I have too many good memories to pick just one.

What is the name of your latest (or upcoming) album and is there any story or concept behind the title?
Our latest release is Aletheia (2013). We are currently working on a new album for 2015 titled “Legacy“. Can’t say much more about the new one at this time.

What could one expect from your live performance at Facedown Fest 2015?
This year’s performance at Facedown Fest may include the return of an old member on drums!

Any strange or interesting stories from the road you could share?
Strange story – we once had a 4×4 sheet of plywood fly off of a vehicle in front of us on the interstate, zoom through the air, and proceed to smash in the whole front of our van. The guy offered to buy our whole van for a few hundred dollars (we didn’t take the offer) because he really didn’t want to call the police. I think we ended up settling for about $400 so we could buy the parts and fix it ourselves…which we did in a Walmart parking lot. Luckily no one was hurt and we continued our tour as scheduled.

After Facedown Fest, what are your band’s plans for the next couple of months?
After FDF we will be finishing up our album and promoting the heck out of it

Any messages for your fans out here in the Los Angeles / Orange County area?
We can’t wait to see our SoCal fans…it’s always so much fun interacting with them the day of the fest.

Introduce yourself, tell me what you do in your band, and how long you’ve been together.
My name is Lazarus and I am the vocalist of Leaders. We have been a band for about 5 years this year.

What are you looking forward to the most about Facedown Fest 2015?
I am looking forward to seeing all of our Facedown Family and hanging out with everyone. It’s literally the highlight of my year and something I always look forward to. It’s a big hangout with the bands and friends who come to the fest that we’ve met over the years…and xDeathstarx of course!

What is your favorite Facedown Fest memory or is this your first time playing?
My favorite memory would have to be our second year playing Facedown Fest in 2013 and having people know our lyrics and seeing them scream along with me. It’s just insane, truly a blessing.

What is the name of your latest (or upcoming) album and is there any story or concept behind the title?
Well this is actually our last Facedown Fest and our final national show. BUT you can check out our last two releases “Indomitable” and “Now We Are Free” at iTunes and Spotify.

Pick two songs from your latest or upcoming album and tell me what inspired the lyrics?
The two songs that I would have to choose would be “My Home” and “Struggles.”
These are both near to my heart. One is about the time I was without a home for a short period of time during the recording and the tour cycle of “Indomitable.” The second being about how I have a constant battle with wanting to give up when things get hard, and how God always lets me know that he is in control and I shouldn’t give up.

What could one expect from your live performance at Facedown Fest 2015?
Passion and emotion. This will be our last Facedown Fest and second to last show as a band. It will be one for the books for sure!

Any strange or interesting stories from the road you could share?
Emergency restroom stops when there is no restroom to be found haha. I will just leave it at that.

After Facedown Fest, what are your band’s plans for the next couple of months?
We will be returning home and preparing for our last show which will be in the Bay Area sometime in June and it is going to be with some great bands that are friends of ours!

Any messages for your fans out here in the Los Angeles / Orange County area?
We love you guys and wish we lived closer so we could’ve played your area more and hung out! See you guys at Facedown Fest!
