The Fearless Friends Tour Wants to Meet You!

MEET THE FEARLESS FRIENDS!!!

The Fearless Friends tour has now begun it’s trek across the nation, with two stops in the Southland in November.  Consisting of five of the very best on the Fearless Records roster, there should be plenty of good times and fine tunes to be found when the tour shows up in your town.  On the road making friends all across the nation as you read this, participants include Mayday Parade, Breathe Carolina, Every Avenue, Artist vs. Poet, and Go Radio!  We recently sent all the participants questions in anticipation of the tour.  Make Fearless Friends with each and every band now…

MAYDAY PARADE

Introduce yourself, tell me what you do in Mayday Parade.
My name is Derek and I sing in Mayday Parade.

How excited are you about the Fearless Friends Tour and what do you look forward to the most?
I am super pumped about the fft 2k10. I am looking forward to hanging with all the bands, and playing fun shows.

How did the UK tour and what was the overall experience like? Was this your first time there?
It was our third time there and by the best time yet. Every show was sold out so that made the shows unforgettable… And it was sweet sharing a bus with The Maine

The Queen Of England invites Mayday Parade to perform one song at a Royal Command Performance. What song would you do for the Queen and her audience and why?
We would play a cover of the band Queen, “We are the Champions”

Speaking of Queen, what made you decide to cover We Are The Champions for PunK Goes Classic Rock? That’s can be a super difficult song to perform…
Queen has always been one of my favorite bands. And they rock my socks.

What is the strangest thing that has ever happened to your band while out on the road?
So many to think of… We were playing a show in a show in CT and a girl in the audience flashed us while we were on stage… To say the least, it wasn’t a girl…

Do you have any messages for fans in the Los Angeles and San Diego areas?
SoCal is awesome, keep doing your thing. Excited to see you guys soon on the Fearless Friends Tour.

BREATHE CAROLINA

Introduce yourself, tell me what you do in Breathe Carolina.
My name’s David Schmitt i sing and do the music production.

How excited are you about the Fearless Friends Tour and what do you look forward to the most?
I am really excited to hang out with my friends, Everyone on this tour are are very close homies.

You’ve now done two tours of duties at Warped Tour. What has the experience been like and does the tour ever get any easier?
I loved Warped Tour and it got a bit easier the second time because we knew what we were getting into the second time around.  But is is a rough tour for sure.

With Hello Fascination being out for a while, how close are you to releasing an all new album and how will the music compare to you previous efforts?
We are in the studio now so hopefully we will be releasing an album in the next five to six months. I think its going to be a mix of the old record and new record combined.

What made you decide to cover Down from the Pop Goes Punk 3 compilation and do you know if Jay Sean has heard it yet?
I dont know if he has yet but it was pretty random.  We just liked the song and felt like it would go over well with the fans

What is the strangest thing that has ever happened to your band while out on the road?
When we couldn’t find our drummer on the first day of Warped Tour. He ended up being in jail haha, but he made it for the set and everything was all good.

Do you have any messages for fans in the Los Angeles and San Diego areas?
I love California – that’s my second home for sure, stay up! But F- the Lakers – Nuggets for life haha…

EVERY AVENUE

Introduce yourself, tell me what you do in Every Avenue.
My name is Matt and I play bass.

How excited are you about the Fearless Friends Tour and what do you look forward to the most?
We’re all really excited. We have alot of great friends on the tour and I’m stoked to get back on the road.

Is this any story or concept behind your song Tell Me I’m A Wreck and tell me about the video – it looked pretty fun to do?
The director Stephen Penta did interviews with our families and friends about love and relationships, and it’s amazing how many people really opened up. We couldn’t be happier with the video and we had a great time shooting it!

How did the Motel 6 Rock Yourself To Sleep tour go and what were some of the highlights?
The Motel 6 Tour was a great time. It was fun staying with the other bands and our fans were great as always. I think our trip to Cedar Point was probably the highlight for me.

What made you decide to cover Take Me Home Tonight from the Punk Goes Classic Rock compilation and do you know if Eddie Money has heard it yet?
We think it’s a great song so we were stoked to have the chance to cover it. I’m not sure if he’s heard it, but if he has I hope he doesn’t hate us haha

What is the strangest thing that has ever happened to your band while out on the road?
There’s so many strange, random things that happen on the road, I wouldnt know where to start haha. It’s one of the things that make tour so much fun.

Do you have any messages for fans in the Los Angeles and San Diego areas?
Vote yes on prop 19!! 😉

ARTIST VS. POET

Introduce yourself, tell me what you do in Artist vs Poet.
Tarcy and I sing for the band.

How excited are you about the Fearless Friends Tour and what do you look forward to the most?
It’s amazing, the lineup is perfect, and everyone on this tour are like family. Couldn’t be more stoked!

How did your summer at Warped go and what was the best and worst part about the tour?
It went amazing! Best part was making new friends, worst was the heat on some days.

How did your song Adorable wind up on the TV show Bones recently and did you get to watch it? If so, what did you think when you heard your song playing on TV?
It was mind blowing to be honest – so unreal! And yeah, I definitely was glued to the screen till I heard it Hahah

What made you decide to cover Bad Romance from the Punk Goes Pop 3 compilation and do you know if Lady Gaga has heard it yet?
It honestly just came across really well as a rock song, so we decided to rock it, and
yeah, Gaga gave me a call a few days ago just showing love for it….. Ok that part isn’t true at all.

What is the strangest thing that has ever happened to your band while out on the road?
Well I don’t know about strangest but we were going around 70 down the highway and our van had a blow out! Scarry!

Do you have any messages for fans in the Los Angeles and San Diego areas?
THANK YOU! If it wasn’t for our fans we wouldn’t be here!

GO RADIO

Introduce yourself, tell me what you do in Go Radio.
Jason Lancaster, I sing and play guitar.

How excited are you about the Fearless Friends Tour and what do you look forward to the most?
I love this tour so far. I’m so stoked to see a label tour happen again, it’s been too long.

Is there any story or concept behind your CD title Do Overs and Second Chances?
That EP is pretty literal. It’s all about taking chances and looking into every road you can. It’s all about making mistakes and loving them

Tell me about your single Goodnight Moon and what inspired you to write the lyrics?
Goodnight Moon was a happy song to me. I got in a slump of all depressing end of the world songs, and wanted to find something that made me happy. Goodnight moon was it.

How do you think it will be touring with some of your ex bandmates from Mayday Parade? Do you think you’ll want to get onstage and perform with the band on some of the old songs?
I’m sure I will some nights, but there isn’t any tension between us.
We’re all friends and family here and not gonna change anytime soon.

What is the strangest thing that has ever happened to your band while out on the road?
Georgia
