Pierce The Veil is thrilled to reveal the album art and track list for their highly-anticipated new album Collide With The Sky, set for release July 17, 2012.

Recorded with producers Dan Korneff and Kato Khandwala (Mayday Parade, Paramore, A Day To Remember), stunning third full-length Collide With The Sky embraces the San Diego quartet’s unique blend of incendiary guitar lines and soaring melodies. The album was tipped by Alternative Press in their run down of the Most Anticipated Music of 2012.

“It’s been a long and, in the true sense of the word, epic journey creating this new album. After a year of working out parts on the road, recording demos on the bus, living in a cabin that we turned into a studio for months at a time, writing while we were overseas in Europe, and not to mention the 3 months that we spent recording the album in New Jersey, we have literally poured every bit of our collective lives into this record and we cannot wait any longer to show it to you!” – Vic Fuentes (vocals)

Click HERE to read the story behind the cover art.

Collide With The Sky track list:
1. May These Noises Startle You In Your Sleep Tonight
2. Hell Above
3. A Match Into Water
4. King For A Day
5. Bulls In The Bronx
6. Props & Mayhem
7. Tangled In The Great Escape
8. I’m Low On Gas And You Need A Jacket
9. The First Punch
10. One Hundred Sleepless Nights
11. Stained Glass Eyes And Colorful Tears
12. Hold On Till May

Having toured with some of the biggest names in the music scene including Bring Me The Horizon, A Day To Remember, Of Mice & Men, Thursday, and The Devil Wears Prada, the band tear into a packed tour schedule with a full summer on the Vans Warped Tour’s main stage and a full European headline tour.

PIERCE THE VEIL – Vic Fuentes (Vocals), Mike Fuentes (Drums), Tony Perry (Guitar), Jaime Preciado (Bass) – With a unique brand of progressive post-hardcore, Pierce The Veil have captured a rabid fan base across the globe. Deploying every shred of musical prowess in their artillery, Pierce The Veil are anxiously awaiting the release of their much anticipated new album Collide With The Sky. Gaining a reputation for their explosive live show and the unique vocal style of singer Vic Fuentes, the band has gained press support from Alternative Press, AMP, Outburn, Kerrang!, IGN, Revolver, AOL, And FUSE TV. Primed with an incredible new album and a rigorous tour schedule, Pierce The Veil are truly en fuego this summer!

From Long Island, NY comes a band that knows the meaning of follow through. Letter to the Exiles has persisted in sharpening their skill and sound, honing it into finely pointed hardcore-influenced metal even during the most formidable of times. LTTE know the struggle to keep moving forward is worth it; know that the creative push that allows them to write the honest and direct lyrics that comprise their new album Make Amends is essential to what the band is at its very core. “As a band we recognize that nothing is going to be given to us. But we also know that great things and great potential lie ahead if we just keep moving forward.”

The new album, Make Amends, promises to be aggressive, following in the immortal footsteps of the great NY hardcore and metal bands that have come before, while simultaneously exhibiting the band’s ability to keep things progressive by interspersing the hard with the soft, and unveiling the moments of peaceful calm they have interwoven throughout the album.

Letter to the Exiles will be releasing their Facedown debut Make Amends on August 14.

Martin LeMar will be the new voice of Nachtgeschrei!

And what a voice – Martin, who already provided the vocals for Tommorow’s Eve and progressive metal legend Mekong Delta, just convinced us with his voice and personality. We are absolutely sure that he is the right guy to kick off once again with.

You can see brandnew pictures of us with Martin on our website!

We are confident that the best is yet to come: currently, we are working on new songs, planning the first shows and have a little surprise for you up our sleeves – so stay tuned on www.nachtgeschrei.de

But before we present you new material, let’s join us for a little retrospective: Massacre Records looks back on six years of Nachtgeschrei with a virtual “best of” compilation album. We have selected 13 favourite tracks from our previous releases, that offer a cross-section of our three studio albums. Whoever wants to have all the favourites of band and fans at one swoop, should mark May 18th, 2012.
Then “Eine Erste Kerbe“, the digital Nachtgeschrei-Best-Of will be available for a special offer at iTunes, Amazon, Musicload and other digital music stores.”

Former member of the post-hardcore group Rosaline and established artist manager, Nathan Steinheimer has announced the formation of his independent label Mutant League Records. “I want to release the most honest and authentic bands out there,” Steinheimer explains. “This is beyond genre, it’s about a certain caliber of feeling that sneaks through all types of music.”

Reflecting on the nature of the business, Steinheimer postulates that all labels aren’t created equally. “I spent my weekends sweating through Decendents tee-shirts in crowded Chicago basements. That’s who I am and as a result, I aim to house artists that influence people to become as passionate about music as I was growing up. Over the last few years I’ve been lucky enough to learn from and pair myself with some of the most renowned people in this industry. The opportunity to utilize these experiences for the benefit of the music I identify with is really exciting.”

Mutant League welcomes their first two signings: A Fight For Life from Atlanta, Georgia, and Seaway from Ontario, Canada.

A FIGHT FOR LIFE:
A Fight For life is hardcore metal group hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. The band has an extensive tour history, having completed national runs with the likes of: The Air I Breathe, Decoder, Palisades, Us From Outside. A Fight For Life is heading into the studio this summer with producer Nick Scott (Miss May I) to begin work on their debut full-length out later this year.

SEAWAY:
Seaway is a pop-punk group from Oakville, Canada, with a sound reminiscent of bands like: The Wonder Years and Living With Lions. Seaway is currently working on a new single mixed by Jay Maas (Defeater) which will be released digitally in the coming months. Catch Seaway on tour this summer in the U.S. with Maker and Light Years.

Fans of the much revered metal entity Hortus Animae will be stunned when discovering the dark artistry of Martyr Lucifer’s solo project. Named after its esteemed creator, Martyr Lucifer has a lot more in common with indie stalwarts such as Joy Division and Bauhaus than with anything having to do with black metal. Farewell To Graveland is an astounding collection of tunes that will haunt your memory for an eternity. Here is a recent interview we conducted with Martyr Lucifer to find out more about life after Hortus Animae, the new album, working with ex-members of At The Gates and Nokturnal Mortum, and other intriguing tales from beyond the darkness. Read on…

How long has the Martyr Lucifer project been in existence and how does it differ from your previous band Hortus Animae?
Hi. I started developing the idea of a solo project right after we released, with Hortus Animae, “The Blow of Furious Winds”, I felt the times were mature to try to express myself in a more… intimate way, let’s say. In the beginning it was supposed to be a work for piano and vocals, maybe some strings, something in the vein of Current 93’s “Soft Black Stars”. Then I’ve left the project in the closet for years and only in 2009 I’ve started seriously working on it, thanks to my wife that gently and rightly kicked my ass and made me understand that it was about time and I’m very grateful to her for giving me the push I needed. So I started working on it again, the initial ideas changed a bit, I started adding further new arrangements, the songs grew and grew and took a more… “rock” approach. The Martyr Lucifer project differs a lot from Hortus Animae. As previously stated, I needed to express myself in a different way, the anger of my youth channeled into a more conscious dimension and, perhaps, this album represents some sort of light at the end of the tunnel for me. This factor is represented musically as well, because as it always was the sound accompanies the lyrics and their moods.

Where are you based out of and what is the music scene like there?
The majority of the band is based in Italy and I think the scene here is very good, we have different great bands and great musicians, metal and not. Then there are bands that thanks to a proper labels’ support can also have success abroad and others that remain in anonymity while having some good material to offer. Sometimes it is also a mere matter of luck. Maybe years ago we were a bit snubbed, now I guess not anymore. I see no particular issues at the moment and I am confident I can confirm these words in the future.

Is there any story or concept behind the CD title Farewell To Graveland?
“Farewell to Graveland” can be seen as a painting, with many nuances that bring out different aspects. The lyrics, although not part of a concept in the traditional sense, are linked by a common thread, and each is illustrated with a drawing in the booklet so the listener can delve deeper into the content. And finally we come to the point. That is, the topics covered. Let’s say that the general theme of the album concerns an introspection in order to find out how the human nature is made. The title track, along with “The Horseride“, is a bit the manifest of this album, the scream of a man who is facing his escape from a system that represses him by transforming him into an artificial creature, making him forget his divine nature. An escape that leads to a physical but also mental and spiritual release, his passage, the desire for freedom, not only for human beings. Even the intro, though instrumental, represents these themes, in “Janus” is expressed the concept of transition through states of consciousness, and the duality of human nature, in fact. This happens due to the previously described symbiosis between lyrics, concepts and graphic look.

Select two songs from Farewell To Graveland and what inspired the lyrics.
Well, I’ve already talked about two songs but I would like to mention “Turmoil” and “The Dustflower”, two tracks that actually go out of the general concept. “Turmoil” because on its words has been made a particular work. The song is about children abuse by priests and, reading its lyrics, it is not understandable whose point of view it is, cause it could be both priest and violated child. Moreover there is a temporal progression that, somehow, describes happenings from childhood to adult age. “The Dustflower” is a tribute to all the forgotten things, to all the poets that haven’t been listened, to all the letters that haven’t been read.

What has it been like working with Vrolok from Nokturnal Mortum and what do you think about Nokturnal Mortum and their music overall? Some of their past lyrics have been fairly controversial.
Vrolok is a very talented bass player and I’ve enjoyed our cooperation. I like Nokturnal Mortum’s music very much, it’s really epic and well structured, with that folk vibe that makes it even more special. I’m aware that some of their early lyrics were controversial but if you look at the recent ones you’ll mostly see a connection to nature and history of their beautiful land, so I see it as some sort of healthy patriotism, that differs from their initial approach. Being spiritually connected and proud of your motherland is absolutely not wrong.

What was it like working with Adrian Erlandsson and did he have any At The Gates stories to share with you?
Working with Adrian was awesome! He’s a legend of a drummer and I’ve always been a fan of many of his bands. Unfortunately we had the chance to meet only once and we mostly talked about work.

If you were invited to contribute a track to a Joy Division tribute album, what song would you select and why?
Weird that you ask this question because as a matter of fact I am actually thinking about a Joy Division cover, perhaps as bonus track on the next album, that could probably be “Twenty Four Hours”. But also “Disorder” and “The Eternal” wouldn’t be a bad choice for me. There is not a specific reason, let’s say that often the ghost of Ian Curtis is hunting me.

What could one expect from a live Martyr Lucifer performance?
Ah, this is a good question. As you know, the “Farewell to Graveland” line-up is international and so, for now, it is rather complex to manage live performances. But it is in my plans, probably after the release of the second album, I need to find a stable live line-up and rehearse with it, also I have some ideas in mind in order to offer a complete show but it all is a work in progress.

What was it like working with Nik Turner of Hawkwind and what is your involvement with Space Mirrors now?
Well, Mr. Turner is another legend! It’s an honour to have a project in common and I’m grateful to Space Mirrors for this. My involvement with them is that I am their singer. We have just released, via Monster Fuzz Records, a split 7” with Acid FM, called “Dreams of Area 51 / Space Beyond Space” and in August the new album “In Darkness They Whisper” will be unleashed by Transubstans Records, stay tuned!

What is currently going on with Hortus Animae? Any chance of a reunion or new album?
The American label Thrash Corner Records recently released a reissue album called “Funeral Nation MMXII”, that includes in two discs our three albums, “The Blow of Furious Winds”, “Waltzing Mephisto” and the never officially released “The Melting Idols”. This album is also some sort of “pocket” version of the commemorative boxset we released in 2008 that sold out in just a few months. The decision to make this album came from the fact that we never stopped receiving positive feedback from our fans all over the world, despite the many years of silence we haven’t been forgotten. But at the moment we still don’t know if “Funeral Nation MMXII” represents for us a glorious end or a glorious new start, I guess only time will tell.

Whatever happened to Black Lotus Records and when you look back on Waltzing Mephisto, what do you think of it now?
I still think “Waltzing Mephisto” is a great record and an excellent debut. As for Black Lotus, now let’s not go into details because, after all, it is thanks to them that we could bring our music to the attention of the people. It was a good label with some great artists in its roster. Special thanks go now to Ray of Thrash Corner, which has permitted “Waltzing Mephisto” and our other records to see the light again.

Any final words of wisdom?
I would like to thank you and your readers, give a chance to “Farewell to Graveland” and let it lead you through the darkness. Beyond the darkness. Keep an eye out on Hortus Animae and Space Mirrors as well!

Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions! Farewell To Graveland is outstanding!
My pleasure and thank you very much again. Cheers!

From Atlantis recently released Echoes and Answers, their debut EP for InVogue Records.

Both the departing members participated in the recording of the band’s upcoming full length effort, due out late this summer.

Here are the announcements from their respective Facebook pages:

THOMAS KYLE CROSBY:
Hey all! Since nothing was announced or officially said, I am writing this to clear the air and answer the question I have been frequently asked. Due to some personal decisions, I have decided to part ways with From Atlantis. This was no easy choice to make since I started the band 2 years ago along with keyboardist Mike Florio/past members and have been there since day 1. Also because we just got home a few weeks ago from recording our first full length and completing our first full US tour. Though I will miss playing shows and touring, I’m gonna take this time to enter the real world and get a job, a car, and just stay close with family and friends until I decide to maybe pursue something else musically or not. I just wanna thank everyone who was a fan of From Atlantis, bought merch, came out to shows and sang along and basically anyone who supported and believed in us for the past 2 years. I also wanna thank Nick Moore at InVogue Records for being an awesome label, Telle Smith for being an amazing manager, George at SJC drums for providing me with sick drums, all the bands I got to tour with, and Landon Tewers and Nick Ingram for amazing recordings. You guys helped me live my dream. Just PLEASE still support the band and everything they have coming up. They have a tour coming up this June and July w/ Modern Day Escape, Dr. Acula, & The Bunny The Bear and also a full length releasing later this summer. Proud to say I was apart of the album. Thank you everybody.

FROM ATLANTIS:
In case you haven’t heard. FA and drummer Thomas have parted ways, as well as with keyboardist Mike. We fully back them pursuing whatever comes next, and wish them the best. For FA, there will be no slowing down, no missed shows, and no shortage of stage wrecking. See you on tour soon, thanks for all the love and support!

The folk artistry of Saintseneca will surely enchant the ears of all who encounter the band’s stunning reveries. Bringing a sense of exhilaration and imagination to the proceedings, vocalist Zac Little and his comrades spin grand tales of wonder and intrigue. Their latest collection of tunes is entitled Last, 12 intimate gems that are well worth checking into. Here is an interview we conducted with the ubiquitous Zac Little to find out more about Saintseneca and their swirling constellations of folk tapestries. Read on…

Introduce yourself, tell me what you do in Saintseneca, and how long the project has been in existence.
I’m Zac Little, I sing and play various instruments in Saintseneca. We’ve been around well over four years now.

Where is the band based out of and what is your local music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
Saintseneca is based out of Columbus, Ohio. We’re fortunate to share the city with a lot of really wonderful bands, Way Yes, Dolfish, Old Hundred, Delay, Tin Armor, and The Sidekicks, to name a few

Is there any story or concept behind the album title, Last?
I knew change was on the horizon, for us as friends and as a band. It felt tremendously important to create some kind of memento to encapsulate the energy invested in our relationships as people and musicians. I liked the ambiguity in the word last. It is a declaration and a plea. End and Endure.

Please select two songs from Last and what inspired the lyrics.
I’ve said this before, but I don’t feel like I get to choose what to write.
I believe songs, as all other creations, already exist. Dormant potential manifests through our attention.
There is no creation, only discovery.
Soliloquy aside, I do get to choose where to “dig”.
The song Last delves into the themes of longing and loss, chronicling relationships.
The song James is about, James, ostensibly the brother of Jesus Christ.
If, as some believe, Jesus was God on earth, but born as a human, to a human mother, what was his genetic make-up? Does God have dominant alleles? Did he look like the rest of his family? Seems like quite the older brother to live up to.

How did the collaboration with Mama Bird Recording Co. come about?
We met Vince while on tour in Boston. He and Vikesh Kapoor set up wonderful shows for us, and we always had a great time hanging out, sharing music. Things developed pretty organically, we had a record in want of pressing, and he had just started the label, so it worked out nicely!

What is a live Saintseneca show like for those of us who have yet to see you?
Saintseneca has been anywhere from a 2-6 piece live. You can expect harmonies, a slightly absurd assortment of stringed instruments/percussion, and a healthy dose of stomping.

Who did the cover art for Last and how much input did you have on it?
I did the cover art. The dog constellation is a real grouping of stars. But it is one that I found, rather than adhering to any that are pre-established.

Are you involved with any other projects or bands outside of Saintseneca? Any past bands?
Steve, who has played in Saintseneca for a while now also plays in The Sidekicks and The Pheramones.
Maryn is in Wolfs, and plays solo (shes’ great).
Steva and I are just in Saintseneca, although sometimes I play alone as Takmit.

Who conceived the idea for the “Missing Dogs” video? How long did it take to film and edit?
I made the Missing Dogs video. It is composed of found archival footage in the public domain.
I used that raw material to create a film collage. Cutting, overlapping, masking, altering speeds, etc.
It was the product of a few all night work binges.

If you could open for any band either current or in history, who would it be and why?
The Beatles, because it would be amazing to see them, or Bearvsshark for the same reason.

What’s up next for Saintseneca?
We’re currently recording the next record! I’m incredibly excited for it.
We’re also continuing to tour as much as possible. We’ll be on the upper east cost this July!

Any final words of wisdom?
Nah. Thank you though!
