The current buzz on Greta Van Fleet has certainly hit stratospheric proportions – the band sold out the notorious Viper Room in less than two hours – and judging by the phenomenal performance witnessed by the packed to the rafters crowd on an otherwise sleepy Tuesday night – this Frakenmuth, Michigan-based collective delivers the good in a vast and epic way. Greta Van Fleet – featuring the participation of brothers Josh (vocals), Jake (guitar) and Sam Kiszka (bass, keyboards) and best friend drummer Danny Wagner – are dedicated to bringing real rock’n’roll back to the mainstream. From the moment Greta Van Fleet took to the stage and started to unleash their timeless brand of rock and roll, there was a manic response from a crowd who knew the words to each and every song. And what a tight and vibrant set, featuring soon-to-be rock and rage classics such as Flower Power, Talk On The Street, and Safari. Fans of Led Zeppelin are sure to be absolutely enraptured when encountering the dazzling performances from the massively talented Greta Van Fleet collective. Vocalist Josh unleashes the lyrics with a powerhouse amount of passion and conviction and is an infinite joy to watch perform – he truly lights up the stage with his magnetic star presence. Guitarist Jake’s imaginative axe work is epic in scope, possessing a fiery intrigue that is staggering to behold. And the Greta Van Fleet rhythm section is wildly pulsating and devastatingly tight, featuring the musical prowess of Sam on bass and Danny on drums. Even crammed on the tiny Viper Room stage, Greta Van Fleet played their collective hearts out, and seemed genuinely happy and moved by the waves of adoration from the audience. Thunderpussy

Early arrivals were treated to an absolutely raging set from an all-girl rock and roll group named Thunderpussy. Based out of the legendary Seattle music scene, Thunderpussy was making a grand return to the Sunset Strip – and what a knockout live performance they unleashed upon The Viper Room attendees. Bringing in a good number of fans on their own accord, there is little doubt that Thunderpussy gained even more converts with their vivacious, sexy, over the top and through the roof extravaganza. Molly Sides is a compelling front woman whose sultry voice and intriguing stage moves are gloriously captivating.  Whitney Petty supplies a tantalizing wall of auditory ecstasy which thoroughly enveloped The Viper Room. And the explosive rhythm section was brought to you courtesy of Leah Julius on bass and Ruby Dunphy on drums. Be sure to check into the sonic throes of Thunderpussy the next time they kitty-claw their way into the City of Angels, as their live show is a blissfully euphoric event not to be missed!
