Korn at Irvine Meadows

The Return Of The Dreads Tour, featuring the co-headlining sets of the almighty KORN and the iconic Rob Zombie, made its way into the Southland on a blazing hot Sunday night.  Supporting the two hard rocking bands was In This Moment, bringing their own fiery stage show into the proceedings.

KORN’s set was absolutely devastating, as they once again proved why they are one of the most compelling bands in the world today.  The SoCal based collective has come a long way since their humble beginnings in 1993, and at Irvine Meadows in this present day, KORN unleashed an artillery of songs from throughout their long and brilliant career.

Opening with the thunderous refrains of Right Now from 2003’s Take A Look In The Mirror magnum opus, KORN definitely kicked off their set with an all-out vengeance.   One highlight during their show was a brand new tune entitled Rotting In Vein which will be on their forthcoming album The Serenity Of Suffering – this song clearly shows a band still wildly impassioned and more than capable of delivering the goods in a vast and epic way.

Those wanting the KORN classics were not disappointed, as songs such as Blind, Got The Life and Freak On A Leash sent the crowds emotions into the stratosphere.  A stunning performance to be sure – and if you missed it, do not worry!  KORN is about hit the highway once more – co-headlining with the one and only Breaking Benjamin.

Be sure to check out The Serenity Of Suffering, KORN’s 12th album, available October 21st via Roadrunner Records!
