Motion City Soundtrack – Live In Store Concert at Amoeba Music

Motion City Soundtrack – Live In Store Concert at Amoeba Music / Hollywood CA, June 6, 2012

On the official release date of the new album GO, Motion City Soundtrack played a live free in-store concert for their Los Angeles based fans. This marks the band’s fifth album, released with the band’s records label Boombox Generation and Epitaph records. Motion City Soundtrack play two extra warm up songs before the full 45 minute set and then participated in a CD signing for everyone who purchased the new GO.

The band was in great form and they had great energy thoughout the show. They played tightly on the stage together. Motion City Soundtrack were gracious to the audience and paid homage to the venue as well during their set of songs.

Tonight’s in store show included some older tunes as: Broken Heart, Everything Is Alright, The Future Freaks Me Out and A Lifeless Ordinary. But this night was to feature some new songs as well. So from the album Go they performed: Timelines, True Romance, Son Of A Gun and The Worst Is Yet To Come.

The headlining tour starts June 14th in San Diego and takes them all the way to Japan to perform for this first leg for this series of shows in support of Go. The band may have taken a little time off to record but the new music was worth the wait.
