WHAT WE IMAGINED EP by MY GENUINE FIND (MGF Records)
With my rise of the electro-pop movement in recent years, there has been a good many one-man projects self-releasing interesting material through sources such as Itunes and Myspace. One such entity is My Genuine Find, and judging by the infectious songs found on the latest EP What We Imagined, there is little doubt that a bright and glorious future is well within reality.
The mastermind of My Genuine Find is Bobby Mares, a talented singer / songwriter from Las Cruces, New Mexico. Upbeat and charismatic, Bobby’s joyous personality is felt throughout this wondrous five-song collection.
The EP kicks of
f with the dynamic Girl With The Umbrella, whose soaring melodies will jangle on in your head like a favorite song on the radio. Hello Universe has a dreamlike quality about it, impressive with its serene verses and thrilling crescendos. Better Now should make the listener want to shake their booty to the brilliant mid-tempo beats. I Know The Difference is performed with passion and conviction while iBeliver is a rockin’ conclusion to an EP that should leave the listener wanting to hear a whole lot more.
My Genuine Find compares extremely well to already established bands such as The Ready Set and Breathe Electric, and Bobby Mares should find a good deal of success with his imaginative compositions. In this day and age, a little positivity goes a long way – and What We Imagined is guaranteed to send listeners into the stratosphere with its euphoric collection of sonic reveries.

Im so excited for Bobby, he’s so talented, sweet, and gorgeous. I cant wait until that day comes when im buying tickets to see him perform in concert! I can see it now, and I want to get backstage passes to actually meet him. <3 I love Bobby's songs and him in general and I feel he really is going to make it far, I also cant wait to turn on my television to Mtv or something and see " Better Now " as the number one music video <3 I love " Better Now " its the song that caused me to fall in love with Bobby's sound. Anyways I wish him the best of luck – he is really talented and about 2months ago I remember telling Bobby myself in a comment that he was going to make it far and that he does have a bright future. I really can not wait to see how much he accomplishes, he's really talented – I cant stress that enough! I really can not wait to buy tickets for his concert. <3 Love you Bobby, My Genuine Find <3
