Never Shout Never’s “Trouble” Goes Gold
Announced On This Year’s Bamboozle Lineup
New Track “Small Town Girl” Available Exclusively At nevershoutnever.com
Never Shout Never’s song “Trouble” has just been certified Gold. The stripped down song from 2009’s Me and My Uke EP is simply Christofer Drew singing and playing the ukulele, and was recorded in just one day in Springfield, MO. The song was produced by Kevin Gates of Engaged Audio. It was never released as a formal single and the song’s popularity sprung up organically, a testament to the power of Never Shout Never’s rabid fanbase. The band has nearly 3 million fans on Facebook and their YouTube channel has gotten over 58 million views.
Never Shout Never are selling a new song, “Small Town Girl,” exclusively in their online store. You can hear a 30 second clip of the song here: http://www.nevershoutnever.com/merch/product/small-town-bundle. The Small Town Girl Bundle pre-order includes the new song digitally delivered on Valentine’s Day plus a T-shirt.
Never Shout Never has been announced on the lineup of this year’s The Bamboozle festival in NJ. The band just wrapped up a worldwide tour in support of their latest full-length Time Travel. The album is the first release to feature a full permanent band, consisting of Chris’ longtime friends from Joplin, MO: Taylor MacFee (Bass/Backing Vocals) and Hayden Kaiser (Percussion/Backing Vocals). Rolling Stone called Time Travel “the sound of a fully realized unit at their moment of self-discovery.”
