Sacrificial Slaughter

Spontaneous Suicide by Sacrificial Slaughter (Crash Music)

Based out of the Riverside, CA area, Sacrificial Slaughter is getting ready to spew their venom all across the globe thanks to Crash Music and to their own sense of perseverance. Their sophomore release Spontaneous Suicide has just been unleashed – a gore-soaked death and thrash extravaganza that is sure to garner the band a good deal of respect well beyond the sun-drenched, pollution-ridden shores of Southern California. The band has been spreading the disease since 2002, and there is little doubt that world dominance is at hand judging by what’s heard on their latest effort.

The disc kicks into a low and brutal gear with Waist Deep In My Filth, and the tracks that follow are guaranteed to pulverize the listener at a breakneck pace. Tunes such as Forced Incarceration, Vile Demise, The Sacrificial Right, and the thunderous title cut are destined to become genre classics. Fans of stalwart acts such as Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, and all that’s great and disturbing within the metal arena will find a whole lot to admire about what Sacrificial Slaughter has to offer.

D-Rock and Steve-O on dueling guitars supply a searing and poisonous wall of sound that is exciting to behold. Shank on bass and Big Daddy Roth on drums are the rhythm section that other metal bands “wish” they had – totally firing up the proceedings with ultra sonic precision. And then there’s the mighty vo-kill work of Steve The Criminal Worley, assaulting the senses with his gutteral tales of grime and decadence. Together, these guys launch an all-out attack that many will remember for a long, long time.

Sacrificial Slaughter is in the midst of a European tour with the legendary Master. Expect them back in the States for another barrage of show dates, this time in collective forces with Pestilence, Vital Remains, and Warbringer. The day of reckoning has come, and the time for the Sacrificial Slaughter is at hand. Be sure to check into Spontaneous Suicide and prepare to hear the next wave of thrashing death and grind!
