Monday, February 18th, 2013 NEW YORK: The pride of Upstate NY music industry STREAKER RECORDS has announced the signing of two new artists this morning – Forget Me In Vegas from Rochester, NY, and Uh Huh Baby Yeah! from Louisville, KY. These would be Streaker’s first two signings of 2013, after a successful 2012 in introducing artists like The Drama State and Storm the Bay to the Warped Tour circuit.
Forget Me In Vegas self-released their debut EP Coulda Shoulda in 2012 – a soaring, fast-paced effort in the vein of pop contemporaries Forever the Sickest Kids and The Ready Set, produced by Christian Medice. The band will be releasing their Streaker Records debut during summer of 2013.
The outspoken and in-your-face 5-piece from Louisville known as Uh Huh Baby Yeah! – also dubbed UHBY! – has already finished production on their new EP entitled Trash Talk, due out on April 23rd via Streaker Records/Little Heart Records. Fans of The Audition, Head Automatica and Panic! at the Disco will find a quick taste for UHBY!’s energy and vocal melodies. The first single entitled “Dead Friends” was released in October in the form of a music video, which can be viewed here: http://youtu.be/w4H-MARQpLg. The band’s second single from Trash Talk, entitled “Dances With Wolves,” will premiere exclusively at AMPMagazine.com tomorrow (Feb. 19th).
“We are stepping out of our comfort zone here. We’ve been after a few light-hearted acts for a while and we feel both bands have a strong grasp on their craft, while still maintaining that Streaker ‘edge,’” explains Streaker Exec. A&R Director Rob DPiazza. “Both artists make a great addition to our brand and we are more than proud to have them call Streaker Records their home.”
Both FMIV and UHBY! will be touring regionally throughout the spring and into summer of 2013.
