DOWNFALL OF GAIA announces “Aeon Unveils the Thrones of Decay”

DownfallOfGaia-AeonUnveilsTheThronesOfDecayNew track and pre-orders available!

Downfall of Gaia has just released a brand new song, as well as the cover art and track listing from their upcoming album “Aeon Unveils The Thrones Of Decay.” The album will be released November 11th in North American, and November 7/10 in Europe/UK. Stream “Carved Into Shadows” and pre-order the album on CD and digitally now at

Aeon Unveils The Thrones Of Decay” is a story about indiscriminate relentlessness of time. It’s a journey to the dark sides each individual has to fight on a day to day basis. Time in its majesty is an unbeatable enemy and all of humanity has to deal with loss, unexpected changes and with unwanted circumstances. As a slave to time, mankind is marching to the beat of a perpetually ticking clock. Musically, the album gives the listener less time to breath and features a more aggressive songwriting style than fans have heard on Downfall of Gaia’s their previous releases. It is as aggressive and relentless as time itself!

Downfall of Gaia elaborates: “Each and every song deals with another unavoidable situation that the most of us already got to know. All of us are pretty satisfied with the result of the new record and we are excited to share this new piece of music with the audience! The writing process itself became a bit more complex just because of the fact that our new drummer Michael Kadnar is living in New York and all of us are based in Germany. But in the end we were able to manage all of this in a good way, hit the studio and record our most aggressive sounding record till today. Once again we recorded at the ’79 Sound Studio with Christoph Scheidel and we couldn’t ask for a better guy! Mixing job one more time by Jack Shirley from Atomic Garden and master by Brad Boatright from Audiosiege. Anytime again, guys! We can’t wait to play the new material live!”

1. Darkness Inflames These Sapphire Eyes
2. Carved Into Shadows
3. Ascending The Throne
4. Of Stillness And Solitude
5. To Carry Myself To The Grave

567BcsArtwork and Track Listing Revealed

Hyperdrive marks a new era for KNIGHT AREA. The long running Dutch progressive rock band had previously released four studio albums and toured Europe and USA extensively, performing at all major prog rock festivals. 1n 2012 the band welcomed guitarist Mark Bogert as well as legendary bassist Peter Vink (Q65, Finch, Ayreon) into the fold.

Imminence Records has announced their signing of emerging North Carolina alternative hip hop artist Kinnecom. Kinnecom is the solo side project of Motiv (formerly named Motivational) guitarist Andrew Kinnecom. The project, which was formally announced last year, will bring deep instrumentals and emotional soundscapes to modern music while challenging modern day mainstream artists with powerful songwriting. Kinnecom had this to say on the signing, “This album is one of my biggest accomplishments as an artist, and it’s quickly grown into a dream come true. With that said, I know that in order to go through with this release, I’m going to need it to be in the right hands and I will need it to be alongside dedicated workers that I can trust. Imminence Records is the perfect label. The owner of Imminence and I have grown alongside each other in the industry, and I’m excited to not only see where we will take this album, but also where it will take us.”

e3a16301-df21-4aab-97cb-b4795b8f2c7aAlong with the signing announcement, it is also announced that Kinnecom’s debut full length, entitled Virtual Gravity, will be released November 11th. The eight track release will feature six unreleased tracks and remastered versions of the two singles that were previously released. Kinnecom commented on the material by saying, “I am confident that the new music I am releasing will inspire a new generation of songwriting combining countless styles of music. We are living in the age of information and technology, an age where what we create and what we listen to isn’t limited or defined by what is sitting in front of us. Music is blending together more and more day by day and we now have the power to choose not to give it limitations.” The eight tracks blends alternative hip hop, soul, RnB, and pop, among other influences, together to create a masterful soundscape that will please any music fan.

About Kinnecom:
Emerging out of Raleigh, NC, alternative hip hop artist Kinnecom grew up performing and writing his own music at a very young age. He has written/recorded multiple albums, toured nationally, and worked with artists and producers nationwide. In 2011, Kinnecom recorded his solo instrumental album gaining him recognition from artists around the country. This recognition brought him to move across the country to record an album with Drew Fulk and sign his first recording contract with Indianola Records during his stint with post-hardcore outfit, Wealth In Water. After Wealth In Water disbanded in 2013, Kinnecom and fellow members formed Motiv (formerly named Motivational) before heading out on two national tours and recorded their debut album in mid-2014.

During that same timeframe, Kinnecom began work on his debut full length album entitled Virtual Gravity. The hard hitting album is blended with textural ambience, soothing vocals, and poetic rapping that brings his dynamic music to stand out in the music industry. Virtual Gravity plays as an outlet to tell Kinnecom’s story and his perspective on current social issues, uphill struggles throughout his career, and motivating messages directed to his listeners. By blending powerful songwriting and emotional soundscapes, Kinnecom defines cinematic hip hop. His debut album releases November 18th on Imminence Records.

Candlelight Records Sign Blood Red Throne

brtnews1Candlelight Records is pleased to announce the signing of Blood Red Throne.

Daniel “Død” Olaisen started his musical career in the legendary Norwegian black metal band Satyricon in 1996 at just 19 years of age when he joined as a live guitarist. Since 1993 Død had been writing death metal riffs and in 1998 he started working on material for his own death metal band and with his friend Tchort (Emperor, Carpathian Forest), who also played bass in Satyricon, Blood Red Throne was officially a born.

Shortly after, the young and talented bass player Erlend Caspersen was found and the search for a drummer and singer could start! After a while BRT got in touch with Freddy Bolsø; he was just the drummer they were looking for and the band could now begin rehearsing material.

A demo was soon recorded with Ronnie Thorsen from Trail of Tears on vocals which became ‘Deathmix 2000’. A deal with Hammerheart Records was then signed.

A debut album had to be recorded, but they still hadn’t found a permanent singer. Just three weeks before entering studio, BRT asked long-time friend, Mr. Hustler to join the band, despite never having played in a band or done vocals ever before. But ‘Monument of Death’ became a fuckin’ killer debut album, released in 2001! The limited edition included a package called ‘The Suicide Kit‘, which not only contained the actual album, but also a printed razor blade and a poster. The kits were hand numbered in the band member’s own blood!

Espen “Beist” Antonsen (The Sickening) replaced Freddy Bolsø on drums and the band recorded ‘Affiliated With The Suffering’ in 2002, playing a host of European festivals with it. Nothing lasts forever and Beist left the band when BRT were about to record their first album on Earache Records. With help from Bernt Moen they managed to record their darkest and most intense album, ‘Altered Genesis’, released in 2005. Soon after Vald replaced Mr. Hustler on vocals and Anders Haave became the new permanent drummer in time for a new European tour and the recording of fourth album, ‘Come Death’.

After more touring 2008 was devoted to the writing and recording of fifth album ‘Souls Of Damnation’. After this release, Tchort decided to have a break to focus on his family and work. Nevertheless, the band went out on their first headliner European Tour in October 2009 with Hate. Soon after the tour, Anders decided to leave the band and he was replaced by Swedish wonder boy, Emil Wiksten. Ivan “Meathook” Gujic also joined in 2010, at first as a session guitar player while Tchort still had his break, and within a year BRT went on tour with Dimmu Borgir and Enslaved across the states and Canada.

In 2011 new album ‘
Brutalitarian Regime’ was released on US label Sevared Records. Unfortunately, Erlend Caspersen and Vald decided to leave BRT in October 2011. They were replaced by Ole Bent Madsen on bass guitar and Bolt on vocals in December of that year and the new line-up went back to Europe and toured with Suffocation in March 2012.

May 2013, marked Blood Red Throne’s 15th anniversary and seventh studio album, simply entitled ‘Blood Red Throne’ which was played on their headline European Tour in May/June that summer.

After playing this summer’s Bloodstock Open Air with great bands such as Down, Hellyeah, Megadeth and Emperor, Blood Red Throne signed to Candlelight Records. In December 2014 the band is going on their first headline tour of South America with a new album planned soon.

Abiotic currently tracking their sophomore album with Jamie King!

abiotic-jamie-kingSeptember 17th, 2014 – Winston-Salem, NC – Recording is currently underway for Abiotic’s sophomore album at The Basement Recording in Winston-Salem, NC. The band is working with producer Jamie King (Between the Buried and Me, The Human Abstract, Glass Casket, Last Chance to Reason) whose creative input will be an important facet on how their new songs take shape. In a recent interview, guitarist John Matos explained: “Jamie King is the man and we can’t wait to hear what he has in store for our sound. We wanted to be as prepared as possible so that we have that wiggle room to be creative during tracking. Being solid on how everything will go before hand leaves room to try new things and can take a record to the next level.” The entire interview can be read now on

Abiotic’s second album will be released in early 2015 and is the follow up to 2012′s “Symbiosis“. 1109New Jersey natives Chasing Safety have announced their signing to Outerloop Records with the debut album Season Of The Dead due out on October 14, 2014. “Common Enemies” the first single off of the fall release can be heard now on

Outerloop Records president Mike Mowery comments, “We’re incredibly excited to welcome Chasing Safety to the Outerloop Records roster. I met bassist/singer Ken Davis when he was filling in for Asking Alexandria on a song in Baltimore a couple of years ago. We hit it off immediately and he introduced to me to his former band. I saw the potential immediately and worked with the band, managerially, to re-brand themselves and release their EP. When we started the label I knew that they’d be a perfect fit for it. Finally the time has come and I am very excited to introduce the world to Chasing Safety.”

Formerly known as Us, From Outside, Chasing Safety self-released The Machine EP in 2013 grabbing the attention of fans old and new and landing the band a spot opening for A Day To Remember presented by Radio 104.5 Philadelphia’s Alternative and Skate and Surf Festival.

1110Chasing Safety’s new album Season Of The Dead effectively blends dynamic and melodic riffs, ferocious screaming, and powerful choruses with an inkling of wicked theatrics. The band enlisted producers Dan Korneff (Pierce The Veil, Crown The Empire) and Nick Sampson (I See Stars, Asking Alexandria) to work on the record, taking their sound to the next level.

“We’re very excited about signing with Outerloop Records and the upcoming release of our debut record Season Of The Dead! The writing and recording process for this record has been an insane journey for us as a band. Working with Nick Sampson and Dan Korneff really helped us explore every aspect of what our band as a whole has to offer. Our first single ‘Common Enemies‘ was the first song written for the album and we continued to change and rewrite parts of the song over the course of an entire year. We’re happy with how it came out for the album and are excited to finally get it out there for people to listen to,” states vocalist Johnny Galivan.

Season Of The Dead track list:
1. Common Enemies
2. One Can Only Hope
3. Til Death Do Us Part
4. Far Away
