WATAIN Confirm Upcoming North American Tour

The time has come to announce the first leg of WATAIN‘s Lawless Darkness tour in North America. When the darkness of November falls, WATAIN will cross the Atlantic to set the continent aflame once again, this time with Behemoth on their upcoming Lawless States of Heretika Tour!

Set to strike in early December, the massive tour will be WATAIN‘s first full-on North American assault in support of their fourth full-length release Lawless Darkness, bringing their flagrantly evil, intense live rituals back to ravenous fans once again, joined by additional openers Withered and Black Anvil. This will also be the first North American WATAIN tour to feature a full live lineup, with E performing only vocally instead of covering bass or guitar duties as well. Prepare for invocations of the most perverse kind. Legions rise; harvest time has come!

Vocalist E comments on the upcoming filth: “It is with a scornful leer towards our enemies and a proudly risen cup of blood towards our devoted followers that we now reveal our plans for America in the fall. We have also managed to sort out the past problems we have had when it comes to the compromised lineup for US tours, which feels extremely good. The songs of Lawless Darkness truly demand a full lineup as well as my total submission to the vocal duties, which is exactly what they will get now. Watain is coming, in all its horrible glory, and it won’t be pretty.”

“Absolutely captivating, with Lawless… Watain re-emerge from their temple’s cold shadows renewed, reinvigorated, indeed, reborn. 10/10” – Terrorizer

“Darkthrone were once ‘for all the evil in man,’ but Watain turn good men evil.” – Decibel

“…Lawless Darkness takes the band in an exciting direction that should bode well for them being positioned as one of the sharpest black metal acts in existence today.” – About.com

“It’s not an easy task to follow the hype Watain have had to live up to, but with Lawless Darkness they have surely succeeded.” – MetalSucks

“…this is almost as traditional as the genre gets in 2010 – but Watain’s use of these old ingredients in inspired, and leads to some astonishing results.” – The Long Island Press

“…Lawless Darkness is meant to be observed as a more ritualistic event. The tracks are labyrinthine and serpentine with a certain reptilian presence undulating under the black metal exterior.” – Metal Review

“With this record, E. Danielsson and Watain have definitely created a blasphemous juggernaut that is not to be taken lightly. The band are clearly staking their claim to more territory in the battle for the black metal crown.” – Forbidden
