WE CAME AS ROMANS TO PERFORM ON WORLD WAR III TOUR WITH ASKING ALEXANDRIA AND HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD

SEP 7 – We Came As Romans has been announced as support on the upcoming Asking Alexandria and Hollywood Undead co-headlining World War III Tour, with additional support from Borgore and D.R.U.G.S.

The tour kicks off in Mesa, AZ on November 1st, following We Came As Romans’ full US and Canada headlining run, I’m Alive Tour.

On September 13th, We Came As Romans will release their highly anticipated sophomore album, Understanding What We’ve Grown To Be through Equal Vision Records. The album will be released internationally on September 16th in Europe, Russia, and South Africa (via Nuclear Blast), New Zealand and Australia (via We Are Unified), and in Japan on September 21st (via Triple Vision). The 12-track album was recorded with longtime friend and producer, Joey Sturgis [The Devil Wears Prada, Asking Alexandria, Attack Attack!] at Foundation Recording Studio.

Understanding What We’ve Grown To Be takes We Came As Romans’ signature energetic and heavy, orchestral-infused sound to the next level with more intricate instrumentations and the finely tuned juxtaposition of the gut-wrenching explosions of David Stephens’ screams and the smooth croons of singer Kyle Pavone.

Lyrically, Understanding What We’ve Grown To Be is by far the darkest piece of work to date from the Michigan-based sextet. Segueing from their perpetually positive views on life, which are omnipresent on their debut full-length (To Plant A Seed), the new album takes on a more complex and realistic outlook, exploring the effects of exhaustion and frustration. As We Came As Romans’ exquisite cover art foreshadows, the album moves from dark to light and chronicles an ongoing journey of realizations and maturation. The artwork was done by Paul Romano [Chiodos, Mastodon], who also created the cover for To Plant A Seed.

The band has launched a daily video series that takes listeners through the meaning behind each song, with commentary from We Came As Romans’ guitarist and lyricist, Joshua Moore. The videos can be found on the music tab of facebook.com/wecameasromans

Local Michigan-based station, 89X Radio will host the band’s CD Release/Listening Party at The Crofoot Ballroom in Pontiac, MI on September 12th. The event is all-ages and free to attend; details can be found on www.89xradio.com. All upcoming tour dates can be seen below.
