“”Sanity (Growing Up)” speaks of where my head was after leaving a very unhealthy relationship,” says vocalist Dustin Monk. “I had told myself I was over the whole love thing and was tired of getting treated like shit. I had been on a downward spiral for quite some time, and I had become a very bitter angry person. And then that’s when I met the one I’m with now. She helped/continues to help me leave the old me behind and deal with all the shittyness growing up can bring.”

Something To Smile About was engineered and produced by Josh Cobb at Rockbot Studios in the band’s hometown of Jacksonville, FL. The album features twelve upbeat, pop-punk anthems like their debut single “Sanity (Growing Up)” as well as other pop-punk sing-alongs like “Happily Never After,” “Back To Then” and “Turnaround.”

Something To Smile About’s the record this band’s always wanted,” Monk adds. “It’s the end result of all the bullshit we’ve been through over the years, good times and bad, made into songs. Every single one of us at one point or another have hit that wall everyone hits, when you’re miles away from home, running on your last dime with no job to go back to, missing loved ones, and you’re sleeping on the ground or sidewalk because the van just reeks of body odor. Things like that can make you question it, and your frustration builds…all up until you play another good show, and then it all comes rushing back and you realize why you started doing it in the first place. This record is about that journey, of finding something to smile about and trying your hardest to hold onto it. It’s us not caring what genre we’re writing, or what mold we should be fitting into, and just writing music. When you drop that wall and quit restricting yourself, it’s amazing how the creativity just skyrockets.”

We Still Dream is a five-piece pop-punk band from Jacksonville, FL who released their debut full-length, Chapters, via Eulogy Recordings in 2011. The band followed that with an independently released EP titled Therapy in 2012 before joining up with Anchor Eighty Four Records to release their second album, Something To Smile About.
