Frontiers Records Srl continues their quest to release the finest in melodic hard rock – and with the emergence of Swedish rock collective Kryptonite, the label has once again presented a band with an absolute winning combination of talented musicians and superbly infectious songs. Jakob Samuel from The Poodles combined forces with producer Alessandro Del Vecchio and together they came up with the rocking concept for the almighty Kryptonite. Other standout musicians would soon join within the Kryptonite ranks, which would include the rock solid participation of bassist Pontus Egberg, (ex-The Poodles, now with King Diamond and Treat), drummer Robban Bäck (of Mustasch and ex-Eclipse), and Mike Palace (of the dynamic Palace) on guitar. The Kryptonite Self-Titled debut is jammed packed with sonic gems that listeners will want to revisit time and again. From the combustible refrains of Chasing Fire, Kryptonite has the listener absolutely hooked for even greater glories ahead.

“Is this the point of no return, despite all the ignorance we’ve learned?” muses Jakob Samuel on the reflective This Is The Moment – a powerhouse track that should be on radio airwaves all across the planet. Fallen Angel also demonstrates the grand musical prowess of the Kryptonite experience, and its sweeping melodies are wondrous to behold. Each and every track is a rapturous experience for the ears.  Be sure to stayed tuned to the stunning grand finale No Retreat No Surrender, a gripping conclusion that will leave the listener wanting to hear a whole lot more!

Superman may not be too fond of the material known as Kryptonite, but all music aficionados looking for a stratospheric AOR encounter will want to check into what this exciting new band has to offer! Here’s hoping we hear a lot more from Kryptonite in future days ahead as they truly keep the melodic rock and roll dream alive and soaring!
