Craig MacGregor of Foghat passes away at 68

From the Foghat family:

As many of you know, we lost Craig MacGregor, our brother, good friend and long time band mate on February 9, 2018.Co-Captain of the Rhythm Section since 1976, Craig was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in June of 2015. While undergoing treatment he was unable to play with the band, and his last show with us was August 2015 at the Pacific Amphitheater with Deep Purple. He rallied that night. Craig always loved to play.

We admire our friend, for the way he graciously dealt with his illness and all of the sad circumstances surrounding it. Trying to always be positive…as Craig would say “Like you read about”. We will miss him. Already have missed him.

He passed peacefully in his wife, Lisa MacGregor’s arms after a prolonged battle. He was fortunate to have a very caring wife and son who were there with him every step of the way. We will miss you, Thunderfingers.

For all of you who have asked, visitation will be on Friday, February 16th from 4-6pm

Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA.

In lieu of flowers, Craig’s family would like you to consider making a donation in Craig’s name to the Fox Chase Cancer Center in support of their critical cancer research efforts or by adopting a pet in his memory, or making a donation to the Humane Society of America.

Thank you.
