In Dying Arms Explosive Return – Band releases comeback single after 3 year hiatus

Baltimore deathcore band, In Dying Arms, shocked the scene in 2017 when they announced they would no longer be making music. The band had seen over ten years of success with numerous albums and touring the country relentlessly fusing together the passion of post-hardcore with deathcore’s technically stunning progressions. While members worked on music behind the scenes, In Dying Arms is exploding back with their new single, “Cold & Empty” streaming now exclusively at Dreambound.

The heavy hitting single features the aggressive vocals of Orion Stephens and showcases an infectious chorus of cleans. Even with the break up announcement, Stephens shared his excitement to share the new single, “I’m very pleased to announce IDA is back with our first new track in 3 years. Back in 2017 when the band broke up, I immediately began working on new music and getting into the recruiting process. This new era of band brings many new changes. One being some new faces! Throughout this time our old members have moved onto new ventures in life and wish them all the very best. Love you guys! With that being said, please welcome Noah Williamson (Guitar/Vocals), Andy Sapinkopf (Guitar), and Nate White (Drums) to the band.

Anxious to share with the world what they’ve been working on, “Cold & Empty” is just the first taste of what’s to come. Stephens added, “We have been working on a new EP, which has taken the bands sound into a direction we hope you all will love as much as we do.

About In Dying Arms:

Merging frenzied sonic mediations on violence with the occasional moment of heart-on-sleeve plaintiveness, In Dying Arms’ brand of bipolar deathcore covers the extreme ends of both the emotional and sonic spectrums. Based in Baltimore, Maryland, the brutal quintet got started in 2006. With a sound that artfully blends the passion of post-hardcore with deathcore’s technically stunning aggression, In Dying Arms’ anguished, atmospheric riff-fests set them apart from their contemporaries, allowing them to not only play with the dynamics between the two genres, but to create a genuine interplay between them, giving their music an intriguing amount of depth.

The deathcore outfit made their debut with an EP titled “This Is Retaliation” in 2009, and they have since released four full-length albums. The latest of those albums, Original Sin, proves just how much the band’s sound has matured. It brings crushing vocals and harsh, aggressive riffs and combines them with beautiful melodies and soothing clean vocals to show just how much the band has progressed, while still staying true to the unmistakable sound that fans have become so obsessed with.

Touring relentlessly for over 10 years, In Dying Arms has made a statement to the world by showing that they are eager to bring their music to new ears. They will be releasing a re-recorded version of their self-titled album in 2017, and they will be touring heavily in support of the album. In Dying Arms will continue to push the boundaries of deathcore, and give old and new fans alike the taste of that beautifully aggressive music that they yearn for.

2020 is the year of the comeback for In Dying Arms as they released their first single, “Cold & Empty,” in three years. The line up features charismatic frontman Orion Stephens and welcomes new faces Noah Williamson (Guitar/Vocals), Andy Sapinkopf (Guitar), and Nate White (Drums). In Dying Arms is working on their upcoming EP and is stoked to show the world what they’ve been working on.
