After a two-year break to write, and the release of their music videos “Scepter”, “Riven Mirrors” and “Custodian”, post-deathcore band Despite Exile have revealed the forthcoming release of a new album. Set to land December 2 via Kontrolla Music Group, Wound will be the band’s third studio album, a masterful work of art centered around humanity and its pain.

“‘Wound’ is born from the ashes of what was supposed to be our next album, after the pandemic hit us and left us with the time to reconsider everything we were doing. It is a meditation on fragility and on the virtues of acknowledging trauma, and we feel like this is our most mature work yet. It reflects all the dedication, the joy and the pain we’ve been pouring into this band for ten years now, and the fact that growth is a never-ending process.” – Jei Doublerice

Despite Exile’s Wound tracklist is:
Riven Mirrors
Scepter
After The Deluge
Custodian
Sunder
From The Black Beyond
A Pale Glimmer Of Light
Lament
Golden Shards
Hymn Of Failure
Wound

Six-piece post-deathcore outfit hailing from northern Italy, Despite Exile delivers an elegant blend of rage and fury. Their sound is a mixture of death metal technicality, fast riffs with melodies, epic chants and raging vocals. After a two-year break during which they renewed the lineup, with the addition of a third guitar player, they’re back with a new album, Wound.
