Helen’s Bay at Genghis Cohen – Live Review

Helen’s Bay, Genghis Cohen, Los Angeles, CA., March 3, 2023

Helen’s Bay is one the latest groups to join up with the LA Rock Collective, and these massively talented musicians really know how to deliver a richness of auditory entreaties.  The side stage area at Genghis Cohen on Fairfax was indie rocking and rolling, thanks to the epic soundscapes presented by Helen’s Bay.  The band started their journey at the onset of the pandemic, and there are certainly no restrictions when it comes to the tunes Helen’s Bay brilliantly convey.

Presenting their own vibrant take on indie alternative, Helen’s Bay captured the attention of the Genghis Cohen attendees their memorable songs. Among the standout selections was December, weaving its magic and enveloping the entire room with its glorious reprieves.  Helen’s Bay recently issued a new single entitled Gold Painted Roses, and the sonic reveries of the amazing song soared into the stratosphere when delivered in a live setting.

The young musicians found within the ranks of Helen’s Bay performed with imagination and flair, including the participation of Josh Aarons on lead guitar and vocals, Alex Lenz on drums, Lex Di’Amore on rhythm guitar, and Gavin Anderson on bass.  If their music is this intriguing so early on, it will be exciting to witness the sonic adventures Helen’s Bay unveil in the months ahead.  Watch for upcoming shows to be announced and listen to their single Gold Painted Roses on Spotify.
