Creed at Summer of ’99 and Beyond Festival – Live Review and Photos
CREED, Summer of ’99 and Beyond Festival, Glen Helen Amphitheater, San Bernardino, CA., August 31, 2024
On the Labor Weekend of 2024, the best concert of the year was taking place at the iconic Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino. It was the Summer of ’99 and Beyond Festival, headlined by the absolutely legendary Creed – and also featuring the participation of 3 Doors Down, Daughtry, Finger Eleven, Hinder, Fuel, Vertical Horizon, The Verve Pipe, and Dorothy!
The outdoor event was scorching, and the rock and roll was even hotter – with all of these very amazing bands making it an event for the ages. Especially the very fact that Creed had not played a tour in 12 years made the festival a historic occasion. Glen Helen was packed to the rafters – completely sold out – by the time Creed made their way to stage! And a grand and glorious hard rocking night to remember was about to take place under the stars in the wilds of San Bernardino.
Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti, and the Creed brigade were in top form – from the opening refrains of Bullets from their 2001 Weathered manifesto and beyond, Creed unleashed an inspiration set of songs from a vast and epic career in music. Formed in 1994, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the band – and a lifetime of passion and conviction was brought to their live show! And what a staggering display of fans favorites Creed performed, including My Own Prison, One, What’s Life, With Open Arms Wide, Higher, and so many more!
With a dazzling encore consisting of One Last Breath and My Sacrifice, Creed left an indelible impression on all the sunburn rockers who spent a long epic day in the desert heat. This may very well be billed as a “reunion tour,” but it was quite obvious that their many fans would like Creed to continue well beyond the Summer of’24…
Another memorable concert presented by Live Nation!
