Palaye Royale, I See Stars, Weathers, Diamante at House of Blues Anaheim – Live Review

Palaye Royale, I See Stars, Weathers, Diamante, House Of Blues, Anaheim, Ca., October 27, 2024

The Death Or Glory Tour made its way to the House Of Blues in Anaheim, with Palaye Royale headlining the event and support from I See Stars, Weathers, and Diamante. It was a tremendously solid bill, so it was not surprising that the Orange County venue was completely sold out. There was a genuine amount of excitement for each and every band, and fans were in for a memorable night of rock and roll.

DIAMANTE

It was so terrific to see the super hard working and massively talented Diamante opening up a high-profile tour like this, and the place was already packed to the rafters at the very start of her performance. Recently signed to Sumerian Records over the summer, Diamante has been making quite a name for herself with some brand-new singles – many of which were performed at the House Of Blues in Anaheim.

Original selections such as Ghost Myself, Haunted, and 1987 really captured the audience’s attention. Diamante also performed a thrilling rendition of the Pat Benatar classic Love Is A Battlefield, placing her own indelible stamp on the familiar tune and rendering it all her own.

And then closing out her set way too soon was All For The Glory, an anthem like track that should be all over the radio airwaves. A fantastic way to kick off the night. Can’t wait to see what Diamante has in store for us all in the New Year!

WEATHERS

Cameron Boyer, the super charismatic lead vocalist of Weathers, may have announced he was “under the weather” on the stage, but that in no way stopped him or the band from delivering an absolutely high energy performance. I could not even tell he was sick, but the audience was also singing along rapturously to each and every Weathers song.

It’s been terrific to watch Weathers’ journey, from their early independent days, then their resourcefulness during the pandemic – being signed to Sumerian – and now played packed shows in their own hometown.

From the opener of Where Do I Sign? onto I’m Not Okay and beyond, Weathers pop rocked the venue, placing a ton of heart and soul into each and every song. Weathers is headed straight into the stratosphere of success – especially if live shows like this are indicative of greater glories ahead. You can bet the next time they play the House Of Blues in The OC, it will be in a headlining capacity.

I SEE STARS

Another band who it’s been exciting to watch throughout their entire career is I See Stars. From their debut release 3-D in 2009 when they teenagers all the way to the very day, I See Stars has been a compelling force within the hard rock, electronica and metalcore scene.

Devin Oliver has grown tremendously as a front man – with soaring vocals galore and an exhilarating stage presence, he is definitely one of the top vocalists in the genre today. In addition, each and every member found within the ranks of I See Stars have become topnotch musicians.

It was great to hear older songs such as Murder Mitten and Calm Snow performed again. The newer singles were on fire when performed live, presenting I See Stars at the very height of their creative prowess – including are we 3ven?, D4MAGE DONE, and Anomaly.

At the end of their performance, Devin Oliver stated they will be back on a headlining tour with a longer set of songs from their entire career! After the Death Or Glory Tour, it would be off to Europe for even more shows in the meantime!

PALAYE ROYALE

Palaye Royale has come a long way since their days traveling across the country on the Vans Warped Tour. From their humble beginnings within the walls of the Boom Boom Room up until their just released Death Or Glory magnum opus, Palaye Royale has unleashed top quality rock and roll – and presented the show of a lifetime at the House Of Blues in Anaheim.

Opening with the rousing refrains of Nightmares and then proceeding into the brilliant Death Or Glory tour namesake, Palaye Royale clearly showed why they have acquired so many ardent fans throughout the years. The stage setup was just as magnificent as were the three core musicians found within.

With rock and roll influences from all over the map, Palaye Royale brilliantly mesh it all together, and unleash a sonic experience revered by all types of music fans.

Palaye Royale would also be off to the European continent for further dates on the Death Or Glory Tour. What an amazing night with some of the most exciting bands on the planet!
