Sierra Levesque and Elijah Dallas at Hotel Ziggy – Live Review

Sierra Levesque, Elijah Dallas, We Found New Music at Hotel Ziggy, West Hollywood, CA., May 7, 2025

We Found New Music (WFNM) with Grant Owen is an ongoing live event at Hotel Ziggy on the Sunset Strip. Always free with a reservation, WFNM is the best place to discover new talented artists ready to break on through into the big leagues. The Highwire Daze team pulled up on a Wednesday night to catch the sets of Sierra Levesque and Elijah Dallas – and they both delivered the auditory goods tenfold.

Elijah Dallas

Initially from Spokane, Washington, Elijah Dallas is a singer/songwriter now based within the ranks of the legendary Los Angeles music scene. Elijah plays a compelling mix of pop, rock, and alternative. Performing selections from his Black and White debut EP, Elijah absolutely enraptured the early arrivals with his ethereal, superbly heartfelt acoustic tapestries. You could really feel the emotion and commitment in both Elijah’s expressive vocals and vibrant guitar playing.

Among the wonderful originals was I Didn’t Get To Say I Love You – a poignant song about loss that many will be able to relate with in this life. Tired and When You Get Home from Black and White were also unveiled, displaying a ton of passion and conviction. Elijah’s soothing voice speaks volumes – and it didn’t even matter that he arrived at Hotel Ziggy with a sunburn on his face from a day in the L.A. heat.

Revealing some of his musical influences, Elijah presented an imaginative mashup of Creep by Radiohead and Birds of a Feather by Billie Eilish. Closing out the show with the highly effective Growing Pain, Elijah Dallas definitely left an indelible impression. Stay tuned, because Elijah is in a one-way ticket to the big time – especially if these acoustic performances are any indication of greater glories ahead.

Sierra Levesque

I’ve been bumping into Sierra Levesque constantly, whether at concert events or at The NAMM Show – and now at long last, I was able to witness a live performance. And I must say, this experience was very well worth the wait! I’m not sure why it’s taken so long for me to finally see Sierra, but her debut at WFNM was absolutely epic. Sierra rocked it out with her dynamic vocals and roaring guitar – and even though backing instrumental tracks were played on a few of the songs, it must be noted that Sierra played each and every instrument on every note being heard within the trendy confines of Hotel Ziggy.

From the killer opening refrains of Don’t Make Me Repeat Myself to the gripping overtures of Moody Little Thing, the packed Hotel Ziggy room was witnessing a talented artist well on her way to stratospheric success. With apparent influences as wide ranging as Halestorm, The Pretty Reckless, and even Ann Wilson of Heart, Sierra Levesque presents her own original songs with a massive amount of fire and intrigue.

And the should-be hits kept on arriving – U Are My Drug is wickedly addictive and Take Me Away should be all over the radio airwaves. Sierra is about to release her next single New Generation on Spotify, and its premiere at WFNM was a big singalong sensation! Closing with the super rebellious Authority anthem, Sierra Levesque definitely left the audience craving a whole lot more of that badass rock and roll! It will be very exciting to see what the future has in store for the absolutely incredible artist on the rise! Sierra Rocks!!!
