Dirty Mondays has become the hottest event to catch the very best up and coming bands in and around the greater Los Angeles area. And on this Friday night in the wilds of Hollywood, Dirty Mondays would arrive at the trendy Harvard & Stone nightclub with Dream Racer headlining the night. On the pop punk / emo side of the spectrum, Dream Racer presented a set of soon to be genre classics to the gathered attendees at Harvard & Stone. Visiting us from the Inland Empire, Dream Racer surely made some new fans on this magical night in Tinseltown.

Opening with the first two songs from their Gloomy Eyes EP (Gloomy Eyes and Lay Right Here), Dream Racer instantly won the normally jaded Los Angeles audience over with their bright and vibrant pop punk anthems. Other songs that raged into the emo heavens included Save Your Breath, Last Night’s Conversation, and Built To Fall Apart – all sounding like potential genre classics!

Front and center is the super charismatic Robert Rodello, looking like the legendary Iggy Pop with massive tattoos, performing shirtless in leather pants while channeling greats such as Blink-182 and New Found Glory. Each and every member of Dream Racer matched Robert’s infectiously manic intensity – featuring the epic talents of guitarist Manny Arrendondo, bassist Anthony Bueno and drummer Michael Raso. This is pulse racing Warped Tour pop punk at its finest, proving that the genre is very much alive and well in 2025 and beyond!

Closing out their set with their recently released Losing Sleep single, Dream Racer performed their hearts out and left quite an impression! Stay tuned, because if they keep us shows this lively and captivating, we’ll be seeing Dream Racer at bigger clubs in future days ahead. Check out Dream Racer on Spotify and be sure to catch this collective the next time they arrive to rock it out in the City of Angels!
