Kryolith at The Whisky – Live Review

Cross Tinoco of Kryolith

Kryolith, The Whisky, West Hollywood, CA., November 19, 2024

If you are a young band playing your debut show, might as well make it happen at the world-famous Whisky A Go-Go on the Sunset Strip opening for the legendary Sebastian Bach of Skid Row infamy! Kryolith is the name, featuring Cross Tinoco, who at 18, is already a veteran of the Sunset Strip, with his former band Astra XXII opening for many a legendary act at The Whisky and The Rainbow. Cross and the rest of the Kryolith lineup are absolutely solid and proceeded to thrill the early arrivals with a set of original tunes and inspired covers.

Opening with a trio of cover songs from bands such as Disturbed, System Of A Down, and Katy Perry, Kryolith cleverly reeled the audience in with inspired renditions of selections everyone knew. Then at song number four, the first original Get Caught was unveiled – and you could really witness a band ready to take off into the big time. Free The Echo was up next, another original tune that went over exceedingly well with The Whisky attendees.

Cadence Tuesday of Kryolith

Cross Tinoco is well on his way to becoming a superstar guitarist – not only does he possess charisma galore, but he also has the massive skills to really captivate your attention. Lead vocalist Cadence Tuesday exudes a dynamic amount of stage presence, singing with an epic amount of heart and energy. Sivvy Wayda shines brilliantly with his own thrilling guitar artistry while guest bassist Luke Harvey and drummer Maxx Rinkus make for a tight and intensive rhythm section.

The best was saved for last, when the wild and wonderful Masked Clown was unleashed – and within a single grand finale song, Kryolith displayed a kaleidoscope of band influences and sent it all flying into the rock and roll universe. With a first performance this impressive, it will be super exciting to see what 2025 brings for the brand-new band on the rise.

The members of Kryolith met at the legendary Musicians Institute in Hollywood – rehearsed for three weeks – and are already playing memorable shows at iconic venues! Stay tuned and prepare for the sonic ride you’ll never forget in 2025 and beyond with L.A.’s very own Kryolith!
