Jammed packed with anthems destined to rock your wild, Take A Bite Outta This! is gonna leave you wanting to chomp into a whole lot more sleazy goodness from Bad Boy Eddy!  They’ve opened for the likes of Y& T and Lita Ford in the Bay Area as well as made their way to the world famous Whisky on the Sunset Strip for a raging performance at Crue Fest 2016!  Highwire Daze Online recently caught up with lead guitarist Dave Saker to find out more about the amazing Bad Boy Eddy and their rock and roll entreaties!  Read on…

Introduce yourself, tell me what you do in Bad Boy Eddy, and how long the band has been together.
My name is Dave Saker, I am the lead guitar player, manager, and also write 95% of all the music. I brought Bad Boy Eddy together about 8 years ago after running into an old friend and drummer at a Y&T show in San Francisco. The band has had a number of changes in members over the past 8 years, current band has been together for about 3 years. Originally started the first BBE in 1992.

Where is the band based out of and what is the music scene like there?
We are a hard rocking Bay Area Arena Rock Band. The music scene in the Bay Area is thriving, with local venues booking tribute bands and original bands. We work closely with AKA concerts and just have recently played the Bullet Boys, LA Guns, Enuff Znuff, Lita Ford, Y&T, Faster Pussycat, Stephen Pearcy to mention a few.

How did you wind up on Demon Doll Records?
I first heard of Demon Doll Records from a good friend, submitted our tunes and have been very happy with the distribution they provide.

Select any two songs from Take A Bite Outta This! and what inspired the lyrics.
First song: Baby Blue was the very first song I wrote for my wife 3 months after we met. The lyrics were inspired by her blue eyes and the love we found together after a very ugly relationship that I had. Second Song: She Spits Venom lyrics were inspired by a comment from a friend about a young woman he knew. Every time she opened her mouth “she spit venom” with her words.

What could one expect from a live Bad Boy Eddy show?
Our live shows are high energy performances with killer Marshall stacks, killer guitar tone, screaming guitars and FAT vocals. We have a great following in the Bay Area and always have a good draw. We love it when our audience sings along with every song!

What was the experience like playing Crue Fest at The Whisky last year?
Crue Fest was a great time for us, we loved it and the only reason we are not involved this year is scheduling conflicts. We loved the vibe, the fans and the other great bands we got to play with.

Any chance we’ll see Bad Boy Eddy back here in the Los Angeles area?
Expect BBE in LA late this summer.

What was it like opening for Y&T and did you get to meet or hang out with them at all?
I have always been the biggest fan of Dave Meneketti and Y&T. I have followed this local Bay Area Band since the late 80’s and have supported them a number of times. We had a great time in January, completely sold out show in Tracy where we met, talked and took pictures with the band. It was awesome!

Speaking of Y&T, how did the Leonard Haze Tribute Concert go and what were some of the highlights?
The tribute to Leonard Hazes was great, it was a Sunday afternoon, we had a huge crowd that included Leonard’s Mom, Dad, Wife and Daughter. Also, Brad Lang showed up and play a few songs.

If Bad Boy Eddy could open up for any band either now or from the past, who would it be and why?
That’s a really hard question Ken, I have been so lucky to open for some great bands. We would love to open up for Journey, Neal Schon is another favorite guitar player of mine and another Bay Area Local…

What’s up next for Bad Boy Eddy?
Up next is writing and recording new music and continuing to play locally and trying to venture out to find new places and new fans!

Any final words of wisdom?
BBE would like to thank all the many people that have supported us through the years, we would be no where without the support of our fans.Follow your heart and follow your dreams. Music is my passion and part of my life every day, and to share that with so many people is incredibly humbling.
