Sammy Hagar and The Circle at Morongo Casino
Sammy Hagar and The Circle, Morongo Casino, Cabazon, CA, February 24, 2017
Sammy Hagar also known as The Red Rocker, is an American rock vocalist, guitarist, songwriter and musician celebrating 40 years in the music industry. Hagar took to the Morongo Casino stage along side The Circle. Hagar formed this new super group in 2014, featuring Michael Anthony, on bass, guitarist Vic Johnson, and drummer Jason Bonham.
Sammy Hagar and The Circle was introduced to the crowd by none other than rock legend Eddie Money. The group had amazing energy, not to mention their interaction with the crowd. The sound was phenomenal! Jason Bonham on drums was absolutely amazing! Hagar, featuring tracks from his solo hits, along with Montrose, Van Halen, and Chickenfoot. Led Zeppelin songs were also featured in homage, due to the fact that Jason is the son of drummer, John Bonham from the band Led Zeppelin. The Circle began touring in 2014, with a live recording released on the album, At Your Service in May 2015.
Their setlist included such hits as:
“There’s Only One Way to Rock”
“Good Times Bad Times” (Led Zeppelin cover)
“I Can’t Drive 55”
“Little White Lie”
“When the Levee Breaks” (Memphis Minnie & Kansas Joe McCoy cover)
“Why Can’t this be Love”
“Finish What You Started”
“Rock and Roll” (Led Zeppelin cover)
