Introducing Vanish: Supremely Dead and Raging Into The Stratosphere

Vanish is the latest signing to the Outerloop Records roster of talent – and they are sure to rage into the stratosphere – especially if the mighty refrains found within their debut EP From Sheep To Wolves is indicative of greater glories ahead.  From the pulsating entreaties of Dead to the dynamic reveries of the final cut Paper House (ft. Spencer Charnes of Ice Nine Kills), From Sheep To Wolves by Vanish is sure to enrapture fans of bands such as My Chemical Romance and Sleeping With Sirens. Highwire Daze Online recently issued a missive to Vanish to find out more about this exhilarating new band on the rise.  Read on…

Introduce yourself, tell me what you do in Vanish, and how long the band has been together…
I’m Patrick and I sing in the band
I’m Bobby and I play guitar
I’m Nick and I play the drums
I’m Justin and I play guitar
I’m Jack and I play bass
The band has been together for a little less than a year. We formed in August of 2016.

Where is the band based out of and what is your local music scene like there? Any local bands you could recommend?
VANISH is based out of Central New Jersey. It’s been a while since we’ve been a part of the local scene, but it’s refreshing to see the variety of music that’s available within it.

How did you wind up being signed with Outerloop?
Our drummer Nick hit up Mike Mowery on Facebook. He took a liking to us and our music, and wanted to see us develop into something bigger.

Is there any overall story or concept for the lyrics Dead?
The overall concept behind our most recent single ‘DEAD’ is sort of just a typical love story gone wrong. Hopefully people take something from it, even though the lyrics aren’t the most uplifting.

Select any other Vanish song and what inspired the lyrics.
Our first single “Only in My Head” was also inspired by the same thing as “DEAD”. The entire EP sort of follows that same theme. From Sheep To Wolves starts with a song that speaks about the start of a relationship, and each song after sort of explains and the last song Paper House (ft. Spencer Charnes) talks about the end.

What could one expect from a live Vanish show?
Every show is a bit different, but you can always expect an energetic performance. The only thing that really matters to us is that people have a good time when the come out to see us.

If Vanish could open for any band either now or from the past, who would it be and why?
Currently, whether or not it would work, probably Pouya or $uicideboy$. Besides them, probably My Chemical Romance.

If the music of Vanish was a donut, what kind would it be and why?
One that you think is filled with cream or jelly, but is actually empty inside.

Any news on when the From Sheep To Wolves EP and then a full length will be released?
Or 6 song EP From Sheep To Wolves is set to be released through Outerloop sometime this Summer! We’re currently working on a full length that we hope to put out as early as the beginning of 2018.

Any touring plans in the works?
There is talk of a possible tour… If everything works out, we might be headed on a west coast run over the summer.

What would you like someone to remember after hearing the music of Vanish for the first time?
We hope people take something positive out of our music. If someone can find something relatable in our lyrics that helps them in anyway, that’d be awesome.

Any final words of wisdom?
From Sheep to Wolves drops this summer! Be on the lookout for new content such as music videos, interviews, shows and photos. We hope to pop down to California and play some shows sometime soon!! Thank you guys!
