Today, Los Angeles band Teenage Wrist release their new track “Silverspoon.” Produced by Colin Brittain (Basement, A Day To Remember, Papa Roach), the track explores how excessive comfort can be destructive in relationships. This new release offers a glimpse at the band’s forthcoming record.

‘Silverspoon’” is a song we’ve had in the bank for several years now,” explains vocalist and guitarist Marshall Gallagher, “something I started before we even wrote all of ‘Chrome Neon Jesus’. We made a few changes to fill up the blank space, and it ended up poking its head out during the recording process this spring. Originally, we thought it was going to be the last track on the record, kind of a deep sleeper, but everyone ended up loving it so much by the end that it got bumped to single number one.”

Formed in 2015, Teenage Wrist instantly made a name for themselves with their debut EP, Dazed. In 2018, the band follow-up with their debut album Chrome Neon Jesus which quickly established them as a key band in the modern alt-rock scene. Stereogum called the record “melodic and chiming,” while LA Record admired it for being “as excellent as anything their forebears did,” calling out the band’s shoegaze influences such as Swervedriver and Slowdive. Last year, the band released their 3-song EP Counting Flies which featured the heavy-hitting single “Mary.”

Teenage Wrist is Marshall Gallagher (guitar, vocals), and Anthony Salazar (drums).
