FireHouse
FireHouse made a rare appearance on the West Coast, headlining at the world famous Whisky A Go Go on the Sunset Strip to a over capacity crowd. Making this an extra special event were the exciting direct support acts from the opposite ends of the great state of California – Evolution Eden from the Bay Area and Stonebreed from right here in the City of Angels.
FireHouse took the stage a little after 11:30, electrifying the crowd with a thunderous rendition of Shake & Tumble followed by the massively infectious All She Wrote – both culled from their Self-Titled debut album. Highlight of the set included a wickedly freewheeling interpretation of Door To Door, showcasing FireHouse jamming with imagination and flair. Rock Radio, Overnight Sensation, Reach For The Sky – the crowd favorites kept on arriving, performed with an impassioned precision by each and every member of FireHouse. Stellar performances from each and every participant of the FireHouse squad, including CJ Snare on lead vocals and keys, Bill Leverty on guitar and vocals, Michael Foster on drums and vocals, and Allen McKenzie on bass and vocals.

Evolution Eden
Making the trek from San Francisco to the City of Angels once again, Evolution Eden performed in direct support to FireHouse – and hit it out of the ballpark! It’s all about the magic known as rock and roll, and Evolution Eden certainly deliver the goods in an epic way. A hard working band to be sure, it’s exciting to see Evolution Eden gaining such a passionate following on the Sunset Strip. And what brilliantly memorable tunes Evolution Eden bring to the table – with songs such as Maddest Hatter and Rules Were Making For Breaking absolutely captivating the early arrivals. Another dazzling highlight was the sweetly sentimental Falling In Love By The Radio Light – a treasure trove of lyrical memories and sweeping melodies that should be on radio airwaves all across the nation.
So much talent and drive in this wonderful collective, including Mike Pappas on vocals and guitars, Brandon Owen on vocals and guitars, Andy Hewett on bass, Stefan Grant on keyboards, and Jim Bove on drums. Be sure to catch their next local L.A. dates, opening for Tom Keifer at The Canyon Club on November 10th and then closing out the year supporting Jack Russell’s Great White at The Whisky on December 29th! And be sure to check into Modern Nostalgia by Evolution Eden. their recently issued entreaty jammed packed with terrific tunes you’ll want to revisit time and again!

Stonebreed
Earlier on in the evening, the almighty Stonebreed was in the house, unleashing an absolutely kick ass set of rock and roll! Celebrating the upcoming release of their second album Heart Of Stone on Rock Avenue Records, Stonebreed set the party in motion and presented the audience with a collection of brand new songs! Cuts such as Jet City, Pain, and Faded Memories clearly show a band in their finest hour, unleashing the next dynamic chapter of an already triumphant career. And what an absolutely first rate lineup Stonebreed has maintained, featuring the supreme talents of Carlos Cruz on vocals, Brandon Paul on guitars, Johnny Zell on bass, and Orion Rainz on drums. By the time Stonebreed worked their way to their trademark closing song It’s Good To Be Back Home, there was so much admiration and good times emitting from within the hallowed walls of The Whisky – with band and audience merging into one exhilarating rock and roll party extravaganza.
Upcoming Stonebreed shows a return to The Whisky include opening for Snow on November 8th – and then supporting the likes of Tom Keifer at The Canyon Club on November 10th! Stonebreed does L.A. proud and their live shows always feel like home!

…and that was All She Wrote
Waiting outside for my Uber at the very end of the FireHouse set, it was fun hearing this wildly drunk guy singing at the very top of his lungs “…and that was all she wrote!” as he descended into the depths of a late night on the notorious Sunset Strip. Another incredible show at The Whisky both inside and outside the iconic club!
