Better Health to be Released 4/6/18 via Rude Records – Pre-Order HERE

MADISON, IN | February 1, 2018 – Earlier this week, alternative rock trio The Weekend Classic announced their signing with independent record label Rude Records and details for their forthcoming EP, Better Health, due out April 6, 2018. Today, the band is thrilled to announce they will be hitting the road, hopping on Intervention’s current U.S. tour. The band joins the tour, which began in late January, on February 8th in Denver, CO and wraps on February 24th in Jacksonville, FL. Immediately following, The Weekend Classic will play a string of dates with The Happy Alright, dates to all are listed below.

The tour will celebrate The Weekend Classic’s forthcoming EP, Better Health, recorded by Seth Henderson (Real Friends, Knuckle Puck) and available for pre-order here. From the release comes lead single, “Cut Me Off,” a track about being in a situation and feeling stuck without the ability to get out. Rude Records elaborated on the signing of The Weekend Classic by stating:

“We’re stoked to welcome The Weekend Classic to the Rude Records family! We fell in love with their tunes when they recorded their More Alive EP with Chad Gilbert, Ryan Key, and Jon Howard and knew they’d be a great fit for us. We look forward to the band’s new chapter with their Better Health release and can’t wait to see what is to come.”

MORE ABOUT THE WEEKEND CLASSIC:

Hailing from Madison, IN comes The Weekend Classic, an alternative rock trio consisting of Chris Webster (vocals/guitar), Ryan Wells (guitar/vocals), and Christian Richards (drums). Formed in 2012, The Weekend Classic used their quintessential high school years to develop, practice, and fine-tune their sound. They soon began booking and playing shows around the Midwest with acts like Fossil Youth, Life Lessons, and Hold Close. However, it wasn’t until 2016 that the band would see their hard work and do-it-yourself mentality truly pay off after applying to the PLAY Warped Tour Program (formerly Ernie Ball Battle of The Bands). Beating out over 11,000 bands, The Weekend Classic was selected to play the Indianapolis date of the Vans Warped Tour because of their unique crass, yet heartfelt, three-part vocals and brain-tickling riffs.

Following their successful summer, the band released their debut EP, When You Had Nothing, in fall of 2016, which was produced by Seth Henderson (Real Friends, Knuckle Puck) and mastered by John Naclerio, featuring lead single “Tethered” with guest vocals by Joe Taylor of Knuckle Puck. Shortly after, the band returned to the studio and released their EP, More Alive, which was produced by Chad Gilbert (of New Found Glory), engineered by Ryan Key (of Yellowcard), and mixed by Jon Howard (formerly of Paramore). After a successful 2017, The Weekend Classic signed with independent record label, Rude Records. Now a little older and wiser, the band collaborated with Seth Henderson once again to produce and mix their new six-track EP, Better Health, out April 6th, 2018.
