The Return of Highwire Daze Magazine – The Print Issue is Back!

On the 1st week of November, Highwire Daze magazine will make its return into the print arena on a continuing basis, starting off with Issue #121!  The magazine stopped printing in 2009, going fully Internet based at highwiredaze.com.  In 2015, Highwire Daze would present a special one-time only 25th Anniversary Print Edition, where Editor Ken announced in his Sketches By The Editor column that “this will be the last print issue I ever do.

Times change – even the vinyl record album has returned in an epic way.  And now is the perfect time for a Los Angeles DIY music print magazine to cover our local and national music scene,Editor Ken now states.  After premiering the comeback edition in November 2018, Highwire Daze magazine will be presented on a quarterly basis throughout 2019 and beyond.  Distribution will be in music clubs, record stores, retail outlets, recording studios, and many other places.

The print issue will feature Band and Artist Interviews, Album Reviews, Concert Reviews as well as the columns Sketches By The Editor, The Wright Wave, Bret’s Ramblings, and special content from world famous photographer Jack Lue.

Advertising will be available throughout the magazine, including on the glossy pages.  Highwire Daze will distribute 5,000 issues throughout Los Angeles and Orange County in Southern California.  The Internet version of the site will remain online, business as usual, updated on a daily basis.

Highwire Daze magazine was founded in 1990 by Ken Morton and Judith Scott.  Throughout the years, Highwire Daze magazine has interviewed notable bands and artists such as Black Sabbath, Ronnie James Dio, Lonnie Jordan of WAR, Average White Band, Redbone, The Church, Megadeth, Foghat, Avenged Sevenfold, Canned Heat, Jethro Tull, Slayer, Anthrax, Testament, Blue Oyster Cult, John Taylor of Duran Duran, Gary Numan, Ride, Material Issue, Kirsty MacColl and more!

Senior Photographer Jack Lue is best known for his iconic work with pre-record label era Guns N’ Roses, and is the co-author of Reckless Road:  Guns N’ Roses and the Making of Appetite for DestructionJack Lue has been shooting for Highwire Daze Online since October 2013.
