Despite Exile deliver new single “Disrupt”

Post-deathcore bruisers Despite Exile are back with their new single “Disrupt“. Along with the release the band dropped an accompanying music video available here or below…

About the new single, singer Jei Doublerice says: “I think this song is the natural evolution of what we did in Wound. Riffs, melodies, speed, but turned up a notch. We think of this as a new chapter, the title and lyrics say it clearly. We take what we did, burn it to ground and build everything again using the rubble that’s left, so it’s still there but in a new form.”

With their new single – “Disrupt” – the band questions the inevitability and the violence of radical change as both a liberating, cathartic experience and as a rhetoric that can be weaponized against society.

About Despite Exile:

Hailing from northern Italy, Despite Exile, six-piece post-deathcore ensemble consisting of Jei Doublerice (vocals, production), Giovanni Minozzi (bass, lyrics), Giacomo Santini (guitar, synths), Alessandro Carminati (guitar), Francesco Comuzzi (guitar) and Simone Cestari (drums) began crafting their sound in 2011, initially taking the cue from bands like Veil of Maya, Whitechapel and Fallujah. The band consolidated their style with their first full-length release, “Sentience” (2013), and with the “Disperse” EP (2015, Lifeforce Records) where their distinctive combination of relentless riffs, epic melodies, pensive atmospheres and philosophical lyrics began to take shape. With their sophomore album, “Relics” (2017, Lifeforce Records), they perfected this formula and put it on the map through a series of dates in Italy, Europe and the UK, culminating in a Japan tour with Bleed From Within. In 2022, Despite Exile released their new album “Wound” and made their come back in the summer of 2023 in the UK with a series of shows and their appearance at UK Tech Fest. After supporting Suicide Silence on short run of dates in Italy, the six-piece is now back with their new single “Disrupt“.
