Socialghosts at Bar Lubitsch – Live Review

Socialghosts, Bar Lubitsch, West Hollywood, CA., December 19, 2024

I had the opportunity to go check out a new band socialghosts through WFNM on Thursday December 19, 2024. They were playing a show at Bar Lubitsch in Santa Monica, CA. The band consists of Sean Embrey-Stine (keys/vocals), Connor Daniel (guitar/vocals), Dhruva Krishna (guitar). and Ryan Browne was the guest drummer. They put on a very energetic, get the crowd going set which included original compositions written by the band, and a couple cover songs.

The two vocalists Connor Daniel and Sean are two powerhouse vocalists and Sean really brought the songs to a new level on the keyboard. They have a very distinct alternative vibe that I superbly enjoyed. Dhruva, and Connor Daniel are very talented guitarists, and the combined sound of both guitarists brought each song to an even more distinct sound. The guest drummer Ryan made a fantastic fiery sound on the drum kit.

The whole set was amazing, and the crowd thoroughly enjoyed their entire set, when they concluded, people were shouting “one more song“. I really liked their whole alternative vibe, their energy to get a crowd moving. Each member of the band brings a distinct component to complete their unique sound. From the moment they played the first note of the first song, I became an instant fan, and I can’t wait to see them perform again.
