Will Swinton at The Peppermint Club – Live Review

Will Swinton, The Peppermint Club, West Hollywood, CA., March 20, 2025
A massively talented New Zealander now residing in the wilds of Los Angeles, singer-songwriter Will Swinton has been making quite a name for himself over the last few years. Will recently completed his first cross country trek with BabyJake on the 25-date Beautiful Blue Collar Boy Tour. The one and only Machine Gun Kelly is counted as one of his many fans. And just recently, Will played a sold-out show at The Peppermint Club in West Hollywood.
Will Swinton opened his epic 15-song set with Fall Apart and had each and everyone in the audience singing along rapturous. And while Will is a bit on the ethereal side of the spectrum on his recordings, there were many times throughout the set that the artist rocked it out with his band. From All For You, Harmless, Can’t Let Go, Better Days and on, Will absolutely captivated the crowd with his very expressive voice and dynamic stage presence.
Girls were screaming in the audience and the applause was thunderous, something that actually seemed to surprise and humble the artist. When performances this amazing, this is something Mr. Swinton may very well need to get used to. When you bare your soul in songs so vibrant and wondrous, audiences tend to response tenfold.
It has certainly been a journey for this New Zealander, who would share stories about his life prior to his signing with 10K Projects/Capitol Records and the adventures that would follow. The exhilarating selections would keep on arriving with songs such Leave In The Morning, Where I Belong, and Daydream leaving quite an impression on the crowd.
When the amazing performance arrived at its conclusion, Will headed straight to the front of the club and greeted each and every audience member on the way out. For those who were able to catch Will Swinton at The Peppermint Club, it was one of those magical Hollywood star making nights that music fans remember for a lifetime. Thanks to Will for introducing us all to the wonderful music of opening acts Stella Lefty and Frankie Venter, whose musical ventures are also well worth seeking out!
Stay tuned, because the next time Will Swinton hits the stage, expect to find him at even bigger venues singing his heart out for the world at large. In the meantime, be sure to check out December – the latest EP presented by Will Swinton and prepare to be totally entranced by this fascinating artist on the rise.
