Elemental by First Light (Pride & Joy Music)
Pride & Joy Music continues to discover and release the very best in melodic rock – and this time around it’s an unveiling of the First Light debut album entitled Elemental. Shining bright with classic AOR songs that remain in your head long over the disc spins to its conclusion, Elemental by First Light is a stunning commencement to be sure.
Opening with the should-be hit single Closer followed by the rambunctiously rocking refrains of Damned If You Do Damned If You Don’t, these first selections hook the listener in for what will surely become their next favorite melodic rock addiction. Forever Young then arrives with its “take me back to those golden days” reveries – and then the pulsating Mayday enrapturing the listener with its vibrant sense of urgency. Leave The Light On demonstrates just wondrously effective First Light is when it comes to a classic power ballad.
And the dazzling tunes keep on arriving, with songs such as Mesmerizing and Shooting For The Stars leaving a decided impact on the senses. And be sure to stay until the grand finale, when the listener is rewarded the auditory declaration of The Prize!
Founded by lifelong friends Dave Hardman (guitar) and Carl Sharples (bass), also joining the First Light brigade are vocalist Warren Passaro and drummer Andy Jakeman. And then launching it all into the stratosphere is the one and only Didge Digital, legendary keyboardist of British AOR giants FM! Each and every musician places a massive amount of heart and soul into the material, rendering Elemental a modern-day genre standout!
Produced by Pete Newdeck (Vega) and mastered by Harry Hess (Harem Scarem) – with this dynamic duo, one already knows the album will be absolutely epic! You can bet fans of much revered acts such as Journey and Foreigner will have Elemental by First Light stuck on endless repeat throughout the summer of 2025 and beyond! Give a listen and prepare to enter the next golden age of melodic rock!
