It was a night when tribute and original bands collided, presented yet another memorable event at the world-famous Whisky A Go-Go on the Sunset Strip. Knot(sic) Tribute to Slipknot and Doyle Rules (Misfits Tribute) reigned supreme, presenting solid sets of tunes that would definitely do their originators very proud. Chained Saint and Stonehaven were two of the original bands who made an infinite impression on the audience as well. And while it was definitely an eclectic night of bands, each of these acts were well received by an audience ready to experience both familiar and brand new hard and heavy tunes!
STONEHAVEN
First up was Stonehaven from the wilds of Corona, playing the Whisky on the Sunset Strip for the very first time. With a compelling mixture of metalcore, deathcore, and hard rock, Stonehaven captivated the early arrivals with an absolutely thrilling set of tunes. Opening with Empire of Lesions and the then slamming into their just released Sequence + Matrix single, Stonehaven set the night on fire with their stratospheric performance.

Noose was up next, with its suffocating melodies sending the room spinning. This Body is one of the very best metalcore anthems of the year, and Stonehaven slammed into a very explosive, highly impactful live rendition of this standout track. My Final Suicidal Writings is the name of their debut EP, and Stonehaven presented a raging rendition of the devastating title song.
What a dynamic lineup Stonehaven possesses! Front man Sean is thoroughly impassioned – whether it’s the deathcore growls or the emotional clean vocals, Sean delivers a knockout performance. Bradley (also in the equally amazing Diabology) and Devon unveiled superbly imaginative guitar artistry. Bassist Adrian and drummer Joey delivered a rapturous rhythm section response. Closing out with the pummeling Pride Before The Fall, Stonehaven made a definite impact for the Sunset Strip debut! Expect to hear a whole lot more from this compelling new band in the future days ahead.

Chained Saint
CHAINED SAINT
Chained Saint made their third appearance at The Whisky on the Sunset Strip, packing the iconic venue to the rafters and delivering the performance of a lifetime. In town for their Blindside Tour ’25, Chained Saint proved once again why they are regarding by those who discover their music as the glorious future of heavy metal! With an intensive firestorm of 80’s thrash and modern day metal, Chained Saint continue to capture the adoration of metal masses all across the nation. And on this night in the City of Angels, Chained Saint took no prisoners with a mesmerizing performance for the ages!
Opening with the almighty Free Reign from their full-length Blindside manifesto and then ripping into their recent 1000 Tons single, Chained Saint came out swinging and ready to impress. Breakneck headbanging and rabid mosh pit action ensued throughout the entire performance from the metal fans of all ages who converged upon the venue. Dark Side of the Cross and Symptom of the Universe would further seal the deal that Chained Saint is a auditory assault force with a one way ticket into the big leagues.

Each and every member of Chained Saint is massively talented, unleashing the sonic goods with a staggering sense of conviction – featuring Ethan Kahn on guitar), Sebastian De Avila on bass, Cameron Cottrell on drums, and Sean Sterling on vocals. Closing with the diabolic one-two punch of Stronger Than Stone (Blindside) and Animosity, Chained Saint devastated the senses and left the audience wanting to hear a whole lot more!
And what a future the band has, with confirmed festivals performances at Rocklahoma, Louder Than Life, and Vans Warped Tour in Orlando! Do not miss Chained Saint the next time they show up to annihilate your town!
