Bad Americans at Hotel Ziggy – Live Review

Bad Americans, We Found New Music at Hotel Ziggy, West Hollywood, CA., August 19, 2025

On Tuesday August 19th, 2025 I was fortunate enough to go the WFNM showcase at Hotel Ziggy to see my friend Lucas Horne’s new band Bad Americans make their debut. When Lucas reached out to me I knew immediately I wanted to make sure I was there to see his debut and support him as a friend.

Bad Americans formed early 2025, and includes Lucas Horne as lead vocalist, Audrey Bean on bass, Eddy Barco on the drum kit, and Wes on guitar. This band has such a unique sound with a mix of alternative/90s vibe. Definitely a band that wants you to sing along with them. I will definitely be going to see them play live as much as I can. Lucas has a voice that has a uniqueness to it, one that draws you in to the lyrics. Audrey adds her magic on bass and she can definitely rip on her bass, and adding Wes in on guitar, the tones combined definitely bring magic to each other and each song.

Their set included all original songs, and they opened with Knocking On The Door, and also performed their first single Nothing To Lose, Reckoning, California Winter, (which I hope they release next), Skeleton, and ended with Ghost Hunting. All definite songs that are so easy to immediately sing along to. However, when Lucas sang Skeleton, it definitely was an emotional song, and listening to the lyrics completely brought me to tears.

Go check them out on Instagram, and Spotify, or wherever you stream music.
