REOG, Universal Bar & Grill, North Hollywood, CA., October 3, 2025On Friday night October 3rd, 2025, I made it back to one of my favorite venues, Universal Bar and Grill (UBG) in North Hollywood, Ca. My favorite LA band REOG was performing as direct support Friday night, and I knew I didn’t want to miss this show.
From the first time I went out on assignment to see them way back in September 2024, I became an instant fan and I am thankful for each opportunity to get to work with them.
On Friday they definitely brought their energy to the stage, and they always deliver a stellar performance. Their set included all of their original songs, which included Not My Way, New Light, Indecision, and ended with Daily Grind. These musicians are all marvelously talented. They all bring their distinctive musical talents and blend perfectly.
They definitely each have a passion to perform, and you can see in every show that they pour their hearts into their performances. When Sammy starts belting out those songs, and hits those notes with each strum of his guitar you can feel and see his passion, then that powerful sound from Ralph with his bass guitar brings each song to a very remarkable thunderous sound, plus with Billy as second guitarist, he’s brilliant, and a killer shredder every time. And last but not least Jon on the drum kit, brings his rare talent and gets in his zone and always rips up the drum kit.
Like I said previously REOG is one of my favorite local LA bands, one that I have tried to support since day 1. Over the summer I actually pulled off surprising them and I randomly showed up as a surprise when they performed at the OC Fair, I told them I wasn’t going to make it, and then just randomly showed up. They all had to do a double check, like “DJ, what the heck are you doing here”. Honestly those are the moments I live for.
