The Used’s October 14, 2025 show at House of Blues Anaheim was a high-octane celebration of their legacy, delivering a nostalgic punch with their full-album performance of Lies for the Liars.

Marking their 25th anniversary, The Used treated fans to a three-night residency in Anaheim, each night dedicated to one of their first three albums. October 14 was the finale, spotlighting Lies for the Liars, and the band didn’t hold back. From the explosive opener “The Ripper” to the haunting “Smother Me,” the set was a visceral journey through one of their most theatrical and emotionally charged records.

Bert McCracken’s vocals were raw and impassioned, channeling the angst and drama that defined the 2007 album. The crowd, packed shoulder-to-shoulder, screamed every lyric in unison, creating a communal catharsis that blurred the line between performer and audience. The House of Blues’ intimate setting amplified the energy, with fans pressed close to the stage and each other, feeding off the band’s intensity.

Escape the Fate opened the night, delivering a solid set that primed the audience with their own brand of post-hardcore chaos. But it was The Used’s theatrical flair—complete with dramatic lighting and McCracken’s signature stage antics—that elevated the night into something unforgettable.

This show was part of a second leg of their anniversary tour, launched due to overwhelming fan demand after the success of the first run. For longtime fans, it was a rare chance to relive an album front-to-back, and for newcomers, a masterclass in emo-punk performance. The Used proved they’re not just surviving—they’re thriving, and still screaming with purpose.
