Coroner’s return to The Whisky on the Sunset Strip felt like a masterclass in precision and controlled chaos. The legendary Swiss trio delivered a performance that was both surgically tight and ferociously alive, reminding everyone why they remain one of the most forward‑thinking forces in technical thrash. Touring behind their latest album, Dissonance Theory on Century Media Records, the band leaned confidently into their new material. The songs landed with a darker, more progressive edge, yet still carried that unmistakable Coroner bite—complex rhythms, razor‑sharp riffs, and a rhythm section that seemed to bend time at will.

But it was Coroner’s night to own. Whether tearing through fan favorites or showcasing the layered intensity of Dissonance Theory, they played with the confidence of a band that has nothing left to prove and yet still pushes itself creatively. At The Whisky, Coroner didn’t just perform—they reaffirmed their place in metal’s upper echelon.
